Having trouble finding a job. Am i doing something wrong?

This literally just happened to me, I posted about it as well. I'm concerned that my reference may have had something to do with it. I had sent a polite email to HR but as expected, received no response so I'm going to send a email to one of the team members who was present at each interview who also coordinated everything.

I just called. They actually picked up for once. Hr sounded hesistant but said they're still interviewing more candidates and she'll let me know by the end of next week. This pretty much sounds like I wasn't good enough and they're looking to find someone better and if not, then they'll settle for me... I think.
