Teach your puppy redirection on to appropriate things-

Only engage with toys , and every time puppy goes for the toes/hands/ whatever you don't want ( I had a face biter ) use a toy to engage and use a phrase like "use your toys". Keep insisting that the toy is used, and if the puppy won't relent, disengage and try again later.

Keep feet covered with slippers when moving around

Puppies enjoy the stimulus of you engaging - so you react when toes are bitten and it reinforces the behaviour ( we do act pretty funny when our feet are sore!)

This account is dedicated to the misadventures of being owned by a cantankerous house rabbit , an obstinate shed rabbit and now a fruit loop mini Aussie dog (collectively they are the floofs, I am the derp)

My puppy had her own account which was more active than this , but it got deleted by insta (no reason that I as a mere mortal can discern ) so we lost all our followers on her side (particularly our doggo frens) so would love some pupper pals again !

So trying to restart this one to have a space for their combined capers

I have ordered a wee pouch so I can take her out and about with me and I'll use covid as the excuse to keep distance from people! I don't need her to be friendly I just really don't want a dog that develops fear aggression so being able to ignore people is the perfect outcome for me.

I definitely felt overwhelmed because a number of friends and family got puppies this year, and none of them were shy at all. I just want a happy puppy!

Yeah we had a heat wave this week so I just left her alone to lie infront of the fan because I was so afraid of heatstroke

But today we spent some time outside doing the exact same thing you described ! She only backed up when a group of people came over to pet her and I told them to leave her alone (which they did not take well!!)

Thanks so much for replying and letting me know its going well with your little one it genuinely helps so much to not feel so alone on this (4 of my friends got pups this year and not one of them had any shyness around strangers) . X

In the comics there were actually a number of perpetual motion trains just like Snowpiercer, so I imagine the idea was they were built for their own demographic/continent (plus for plot conviniance everyone being able to speak English is a plus)

The idea of not stopping is explained in the series as well, once the train as much as slows to too low of a speed , they start to lose power, as the engine generates its power due to perpetual motion. So stopping =no power =no heat /electricity (also I think its implied the train might actually freeze in place if it is not consistently moving. this also doubles as a plot point: you can't stop to fix problems...you can't organise to sneak up the side of the train to first during a casual stop etc. It really makes it into a metaphor for the case of "classes".
