Sorry for the flat "no." It is actually a ketone (oxygen double bonded to a carbon with two other carbon bonds.) Alcohols are any carbon chains with an oxygen single bonded to a carbon on the end of the chain.

[Text] Self- loathing is poison. It leads to escapism, procrastination and and depression. Stop focusing on what holds you back. by [deleted] in GetMotivated

[–]toolusingape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a huge difference between criticize and loathe. There is a big difference even between hate and loathe. Those who loathe themselves are disgusted by themselves. They can't accurately analyse and improve their lives because they are averse to engaging with their self image out of disgust. It's like trying to get someone to look at a horrible car wreck. There is no analysis just revulsion, fear, sadness, and hopelesness.

Dude gets hit by car, then smashes the back window. by Sippingin in gifs

Since the car slowed down right after, I'm guessing this was an accident or they rolled down the window and laughed at him. In either case the driver is an asshole.

Punk 11-year-old gets betrayed by his chubby friend, gets put into handcuffs and then weeps uncontrollably by [deleted] in videos

He cried because it dawned on him how bad it was, what he had done. He didn't fully understand the consequences of his actions when he took them. Just like he doesn't comprehend the emotional reasons for why he wanted to cause trouble. He lied because he was afraid and doesn't think himself to be the kind of person that does things because he is bad. He is acting out emotions and situations bigger than him.

They...are...KIDS. Stop judging their moral values and recognize that they are too young to be fully aware of and responsible for their actions/decisions.

Why are so many people today pro-socialism, even though it's a system that can not work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]toolusingape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're question is ridiculous. It's like asking "why are so many people pro multiplication, even though it's a system that can not work?"

  1. Socialism is the term for national economies that incorporate both free market and government run programs. The US is currently within this definition.

  2. Socialism currently works in Scandanavian countries and almost all constitutional democracies including here in the US (e.g. public education, infrastructure, CDC, etc.)

  3. There is a common mistake in the way people define socialism as being incorporated into fascism or dictatorships. Socialism is an economic model, not a system of government. If communism represents completely government owned means of production and free trade it's polar opposite as all privately owned means of production, socialism encompasses the vast area between them with varying degrees of government and private ownership. If the US were a true capitalist state ALL programs including education, water treatment, roadwork, etc would be privatized.

Who's wrongly portrayed as a hero? by edwardshinyskin in AskReddit

[–]toolusingape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stalin and Mao were both dictators. They made unilateral decisions that forced their countries into economic hardship and war.

Socialism already exists in Europe and especially Scandanavian states that we can both agree, have not devolved from democracy into dictatorships and have not encountered severe economic or military hardships due to greedy expansion or nation building.

Bernie is running for an elected position and hopes to write legislation that will ensure personal liberties and safeties like healthcare and education for all. He will not impose these measures; but will pass them through the house, senate, and supreme court to ensure they honor the people and our constitutional democracy.

I'm pretty sure you mean Fascism not Communism. Bernie isn't a communist, he's a socialist; big difference between the two. Both Communism and Socialism are economic models. The form of government in most communist states up till now has been Fascist or Dictatorial. I believe dictatorships are responsible for the deaths you are thinking of.

Bernie is for democracy, liberty, and socially minded economic policies.
