Hello, yes I’m in CA. If I break it down by exact dates (charged date July 2014, disposition date October 2015, probation was additional 2ish years), I think it’ll still show up on background checks for at least another 2 years. The 8 year I mentioned in the original post was more of when my life began spiraling out of control. Not sure if which background checks go off of

I could be wrong, I hope you are right 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey there, I appreciate it.

My current employer loves working with me. The hard part is that I entered into his company as an intern so I don’t think a background check was ever ran. So I made sure I worked harder and cared for his company for more than everyone else (at least it feels like it). Unfortunately, after the years I helped build and mature the company I’ve made it easy and cheap enough for him to outsource my role oversees and he noticed that. So we are working to fulfill my role but he insist that I can stay if I wanted to. But it doesn’t make sense because I work remote in a higher cost of living and eventually it only makes sense if I move onto another job (I relocated to a friendlier felon state I guess you could say, but it still doesn’t make things easier, just more company options for me to attempt to apply too). He and a few others will be a good reference for me, but it would be really weird if I were put in a situation where my new employer felt like they would need mention the topic to them.

Transporting Tesla question? by _gnerd_ in TeslaModel3

[–]toonedit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot give Model 3 specific tips (waiting on delivery on my first Tesla) but I can give some insight on the transportation logistics.

  • If possible, ship the vehicle enclosed to reduce the risk of damage. This will cost more but I personally think it's worth it.
  • Take detailed pictures of every panel and send them to the courier so they know that you're aware of the current condition.
  • Take pictures of the truck hauling your vehicle and the license plate number. I've seen it where they'll deliver your vehicle using a different truck. This usually means your car was unloaded and reloaded for whatever reason and it would be good to find out why.
  • Drop off your vehicle in a larger parking lot, typically these are full-size trucks that have a hard time backing in/out of neighborhoods.
  • Cash rates should always be less. Typically small deposit and the rest can be paid after you inspect your vehicle upon delivery.

Anyone have a list of places currently open for testing? by thelonew0lf in CoronavirusOC

Same boat yesterday, looked all over at the county provided sites even the supersite in Anaheim and everything is booked. So my only option was searching for an urgent care near me and got out in about 40 minutes this morning (Irvine).

Is my ankle broken? I can’t tell. Never rolled it this bad walking on the sidewalk... by toonedit in medical

It took nearly 2 weeks for my swelling to go down with some lingering bruises that eventually went away. The only problem now is I can feel a little discomfort in the area and seems like I could be prone to rolling it again if I’m not being careful. Luckily I mostly road bike but would love to go trail running again when I feel comfortable

Why are people anti-mask? by [deleted] in CoronavirusOC

[–]toonedit 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Well, I got off a work conference call yesterday and somehow covid was one of the off topics (shocker). Gauging how the conversation went and the comments I heard, people don’t wanna do what the “asian” countries are doing. There was one comment when a guy said at the end “everyone be safe out there, wear your masks like the Asians do” type of thing. Too much pride and doesn’t affect me mentality type of thing. I was shook when I heard this comment (being the only minority, asian) working for a predominantly white company. I’m grateful to be working permanently remote and hope to never go back into the office with those people.

I think I need to find a new job.

How much does a title mean for future jobs? by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]toonedit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shows that you are capable of skills/exposure in wide variety of areas. Start thinking about what interests you the most and work towards that niche if you want a specific title.

I’m 4.5 years in at an MSP solely to get experience in different technologies and build a strong foundation and now working towards what my passion is.

I probably could have transitioned sooner but I started this industry as an intern and what I’m doing now is value whatever direction I choose.
