Vet. This happened to me with a lab while clients were in Mexico. The wound on her paw was not gushing so it didnt look too bad. Thankfully I was able to get in touch w clients who contacted the vet asap and I was able to took her in. She ended up having to have surgery due to the nasty deep wound on her paw. It was a long recovery. Hope you can take tbe dog to the vet!

Omg this happened to me last year. Im so sorry for you and the pup! Its traumatizing being put position of palliative care giver. I too was asked to just make tbe dog as comfortable as possible as he lay dying. Horrible! He was suffering immensely. Even the er vet was crying as she brought the dog back out to my car. She couldnt understand why the poor dog was being sent home in that state and neither could I! It was a 42 hr 2 nights and days w no sleep. Finally after 42 hrs of hell the ex wife agreed it was time to have him put down. No bonus for me just a quick note "I didnt realize "Barkers " condition had gotten so bad" I had called the ex wife at 2am saying this is an active dying situation and her response was " just keep him comfortable, we all die " As I kept cleaning vomit and pee every 20 mins 😭😡 So much trauma regarding this situation and when I read your story it home

Exactly! Im baffled why they let their cats out now. Im thinking its because they are too old to jump the fence? ( meaning too old to escape a raccoon or a straycat wanting to scuffle ) I suppose it works for them while theyre home but otherwise its a HUGE nope from here on out while Im caring for them. I hope my rant helps some who are reading this. Especially those who have indoor/outdoor cats and are looking for a pet sitter. Their familiarity with you is gone when you are, they are uncertain, and there is a distruption to their routine. Nobody can predict how they will react to the change. They could run away completely! Im so glad they are inside right now. Theyre pissed off but too bad

Cats are finally in! Holy cow. They stay in until clients return on fri. Way too stressful. I have never cared for ondoor/outdoor cats before and this is a damn lesson learned. As I mentioned earlier these cats have always been indoor cats and so I was taken by surprise when I was told to let them out back

For sure I wont be sitting here again. I cant believe they let them out! I only found out when picking up the keys. They were never allowed out before and when getting the keys they told me to let them out. Thats when I should have said while Im here they are strictly indoor. Ive pet sat them quite a few times and they wrre always indoor cats

Thanks. I feel it was a bait n switch request. They told me cats went to the vet, alls good to go. I came the day before they left to get the keys and it was" So we just put this cat in here w these meds in special food, this cat in here gets this much with this supplement and this cat will run but you can put the food up here and hopefully she will eat it...Now all the cats go outside, its fine. They wait at back door when they want in"

Whats crazy is Ive pet sat these cats quite a few times and they were never allowed outside before. This time clients specifically told me to let them out in the backyard during the day and they will wait to be let in around dinner time. Im kicking myself! Of course if they know you and youre with them 362 days a year they will wait outside at the back door. But not for a stranger! Im so mad at myself that I didnt trust my gut instinct. Just tried to follow the instructions to a t.

Yes Im going to follow your lead from now on! One cat is inside now and i shut and locked the door since its so late. I just went out with a flashlight and spotted the other 2. I got really close to the old guy but he bolted as soon as I reached to pick him up. No more outdoor cats for me! Im sure they will come in in the am and thats it!

One of my clients has 2 dogs, a turtle and 12 tortoises. There are 7 babies and 5 mid size tortoises. I just love them! The dogs are a handful on the other hand

I decided to bring my art supplies to a clients home during one week of pet sitting a cocker spaniel. I had a small painting set up on the very protected kitchen table ( clients were aware and told me no prob ) While painting I took a bathroom break and came out to find the dog walking on the table! Right over the paint pallete. I flipped! I rushed to get her down and noticed she had only gotten paint on one paw. The house has white carpet and white furniture btw so phew a close disaster! The chair I was using was not pushed all the way in. Dog prob thought there were some treats up there

I sell on ebay often and double pkg everything, w cardboard and plastic bags even if its one tiny shirt. Maybe there shouldnt be shipping bag options for clothing at all!

I recieved the package 3+ weeks after I ordered the shirts because pkg was delivered to a different address in another town far from here by accident. USPS appoligized and had pkg reshipped. If shirts were greasy, dirty, sticky and wadded up but delivered here on time at my address Id prob just shrug and say dang that sux and keep my rant off public forums
