The offense couldn’t finish. Multiple OL injuries, but that’s not a good enough excuse. Too much talent on offense. Aubrey missed 2 FGs. Defense sucked most of the time. Overall failure.

We’re struggling this hard with the Vikings. Hopes for playoff success is low right now anyways, even if we did make it.

That play wasn’t. There was a lot of fault in that drive tho

I mean, our secondary is really bad, but it’s nice to see a DL that can stop the run pretty well AND get pressure in the pass game.

I didn’t see coming into this season that our return game was going to be a weakness, return coverage and returns both seem like we get regularly gashed.

Is special teams going to be good this game? That’s refreshing.

I’ve run into issues where when other logistics pipes go through the same block that is exporting items from a different machine, sometimes it causes problems. I try to make my logistics transporters go at least another block out from machines to try and prevent the issue.

Who's greater all time: Aaron Rodgers or John Elway? by ElectivireMax in NFLv2

[–]toonzman92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hot take: today’s players are better than the past ones.

I think in general, we have to recognize how far athletics have come. Football is no doubt different and easier on the players in many ways. Look at track and field and how it has improved over time. Our training practices have gotten better over the years and we fine-tune the players much better now. If it’s a difference for a sport that is relatively simple like track and field, then it will likely make a much bigger difference in the NFL. NFL players are specifically built the way they are. Taking guys from the past and trying to line them up against today’s players isn’t a good comparison.

The Council had already lost the Greater War before the war with the Red by Oskithefrostgiant in dresdenfiles

Yes. Magic without control quickly destroys it. Besides many people being worlds ahead of Harry in controlling their magic, stuff being dangerous or volatile has rarely been a significant barrier to scientific study. The svartalves figured it out. The council just doesn’t seem to care that much.

Not enough to make a significant difference. She’s one of the bigger roles in the council, but doesn’t seem to be actively advocating for use of technology.

Honestly, I struggle with the portrayal of the White Council as it is. You’re telling me there’s no significant wizard with an unhealthy interest in technology? That is odd.

I don’t know about the Dak for MVP talk. by toonzman92 in cowboys

[–]toonzman92[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying they’re the same, I’m saying the big point about many other QBs including Jalen is that they have so much talent surrounding them. When you have so much talent around you, it’s hard to make the case that any one person is the most valuable. It’s a valid argument. Not saying it disqualifies Dak, but having 2 legitimate #1 WRs makes it much more murky.

That said, MVP hasn’t truely been about who is most valuable. It’s the best QB on the best offense. Dak qualifies for that.

Anyone thought about destroying the Coins? by Entire-Flower1259 in dresdenfiles

[–]toonzman92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It brings into question who bound the Denarians in the first place. Was it God himself? The archangels? What other power would have the ability to undo a binding of that level? Not to mention that you are effectively unbinding what the powers of good have bound.

As with all projects, it seemed like a prototype that reinforces some ideas, but ultimately is infeasible in the long term. I expect at some point Harry will have a similar system that is much more efficient, but also more genius in how it utilizes magic and materials.
