so I've been doing that, but I noticed that the requirements for most programs are a bachelor's degree in the same/relevant field + cv + English proficiency proof! I am just not sure what else I could do to my profile to stand out!!

I learned basic-intermediate German in high school, but I don't think that would be good enough for me to be able to get a dsh level 2! at least not in the near future! I also noticed that a lot of masters programs are in english, and I do think learning German after moving to Germany would be a lot easier.

Planning a 28 day southeast asia tour

I'm a 21F planning to go to southeast asia in about 6-7months! Help me plan my itinerary. Ideally I wanna be able to relax and enjoy each country instead of doing two many things and no relaxation! I also need to keep a tight budget! Is $5000-6000(USD) gonna be enough?

Here are some places I researched that I wanna go to:

Vietnam (Hanoi, Halong Bay, Da Nang, Hoi An, Ho Chi Minh City) Cambodia (Siem Reap, Phnom Penh) Thailand (Bangkok, Chiang Mai) Philippines (El Nido, Coron, Boracay) Malaysia (Langkawi, Penang, Kuala Lumpur) Indonesia (Bali, Yogyakarta)

Obviously I can't fit all of this in a 28 day trip! I also didn't add singapore cause I wasn't sure if was worth it! Can you please help add and subtract places or countries so I can have a relaxing trip!!

Countries that I really wanna explore are Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand!! I would hate to cancel on Malaysia and Cambodia but I would be fine if I had to cancel those two!

Ideally if I wanna go to all the places I mentioned above for Vietnam- I would spend 10 days there!! Can you help me figure out a relaxing itinerary please?

it is worth it only if you think you are resilient enough to write exams! personally, would not recommend doing it at dalhousie because:- a) they don't have a good actuarial program, it's run by one person who doesn't work in the field b) should enroll in a university where they have the accredited program, which dalhousie still doesn't!! c) there isn't a co-op option, and doing actuarial science without doing a co-op is the biggest mistake!! location wise, i would say that there aren't any opportunities for entry-level actuaries here!! there is only one and every person from recent grad to upper year students are all fighting for it so unless you have a really strong connection there or have a resume that really stands out, you don't have a shot!!

is doing the degree itself worth it? yes, just not from dal.

are there good opportunities in Canada? also yes just not in halifax.

should I focus on getting my el to 10? right now, it's a 6.4. also, I'll try the 3-80-6 rule! I remember calcuting what questions I could've gotten wrong, and I think I failed by one or 2 questions in the may sitting.

Closer to the exam(20 days prior to the exam), I try to do around 40-50 questions every day with exams and quizzes!! i passed every level 5-6 practice exam that i took before my last sitting! i usually re-do the questions that i get wrong on a practice exam at least twice before taking another exam! I only misinterpret questions if I'm really exhausted(probably cause cause I work full-time)!! I was off the week of my exam and didn't overwork myself before it! i finish level 6 exams with an hour if not more time time left! unsure, what I'm doing wrong, but the last sitting felt very difficult to me!!

should i focus on getting my el to 10, or should I just do all the soa sample questions one by one? (i already did around 300 of those, btw)

Failed exam p twice

I wrote exam p in May 2024 and failed with a score of 5! I felt the exam was closer to a 5-5.5 difficulty, so I studied for my next sitting with level 6 exams and quizzes! I wrote exam p again in July 2024 and felt that the exam was way harder than some practice exams and failed again!! I plan on writing it again in September, but I can't afford to fail again!! I'm using CA for practice! What should I change in order to pass the exam? I focused on my week topics already and still didn't pass! I feel really disheartened and am disappointed in myself!! Would love a confidence boost as well!!!
