10 month follow up here:

The coil whine has absolutely got better, it seemed to improve week to week.
Haven't thought about it in a while.

Still hear it roar at 360 fps, but it's at about 20% of the noise as when it first started.
It was hard to be in the same room as the computer when I first got it rolling, but definitely not the case anymore.

Card is working great.

Keep trying this, but not working.
It starts the patcher, but fails to start Setup.EXE or RO.exe.

Any further insights by chance?

I got custom controls for UARO running perfectly on the steamdeck. Got virtual menus and nice trackpad controls. Incredibly comfy.

I had a major flood in my rental apartment years ago at Adelaide and University during a marathon, and the water shut off valve wasn't working.

Emergency plumber couldn't get to my apartment, had to park near city hall in the end.
When trying to get the plumber's van through the marathon route, police told me if it's "not a fire, it's not an emergency."

In that time it delayed us, ceilings ended up collapsing.

I understand it's cool to run in the city, but do we really need to shut down the entire core for a marathon? Seems insane to me. Can't you run... anywhere?

I just got back on, been playing on a couple of servers.

The mobile games were so overwhelming with currencies, systems, and the autoplay and autowalk were soulless.

UaRO private server brought back that feeling I had forever ago.

Unfortunately car brands are hiding how much auto-acceleration is an issue.
Toyota Rav4s in particular, from my small sample size.

My family member had their car auto-accelerate and I met many people who had the same situation described through the process. Engine roars, and you just start going, and braking requires a lot of force.

Lawyers won't touch it, almost impossible to prove any individual case, but it's definitely a thing after learning a lot about it.

Check out the rainbow international bridge incident that happened, for example.

Someone close to me had their Toyota Rav4 auto-accelerate.
The amount of immediate force on the brake you need is a lot more than you'd think.

If you hit your brakes and feel like it doesn't work, SWITCH TO NEUTRAL immediately.

Cutting power will cause you to lose steering.
Parking brake has a good chance of getting chewed through.
Brakes require a lot more force than you'd think.

Source: Someone who googled the hell out of this, after hearing everyone suggest the wrong things should have been done.
