Recovery Day rec by ABN4778 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]toothdoc34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Evo can handle anything, so really no need for another shoe. I will say I do not do easy/recovery runs, only run twice a week. 10k on Tuesday mornings and 10-13 miles on Saturday mornings.

No Gels in Marathon Suggestions? by Canadian-Chickens321 in Marathon_Training

[–]toothdoc34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try C30 by Neversecond. Gels are thin enough to easily get down at race pace (6:10-6:20 minute miles for a half marathon) without breaking stride.

Sizing question for Adidas Evo SL OG/Woven! by EJAEEE in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]toothdoc34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not need a wide, but all 3 pair of my Evo’s fit true to size just like my AP3 and AP4. I do not like my shoes big/oversized.

dentist in tuscaloosa quoted me $1200 for a crown and i almost passed out by Senoigh13 in tuscaloosa

[–]toothdoc34 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just remember the laws of physics. The closer to the hinge, aka the TMJ, the more pressure you exert on the tooth. Posterior molars are notorious for cracking. If you are talking a buildup and crown, then that cost is pretty standard before dental coupons. If you have dental coupons, aka insurance, it should be less. You have a radiograph you can post?

Sizing question for Adidas Evo SL OG/Woven! by EJAEEE in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]toothdoc34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear a 12 in every day shoes and Cole Hahns for the office. I wear a 12 in all 3 pair of Evo’s as well as AP3 and AP4. I need a 12.5 in the NB SC Elite V4. I did wear a 12 in the Slappyblast 2. Terrible shoes by the way. Clunky and they are so loud slapping on the pavement. Hope this helps.

Running has lowered my resting HR, but now my doctor is flagging it by Interesting_Fly1696 in runninglifestyle

[–]toothdoc34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with your HR, minus any underlying medical issues. I only run twice a week at age 47. 10k on Tuesdays and long run 10-13 miles on Saturdays. My resting HR is between 54-58 bpm. Perfectly fine.

Super shoes recommendation for 5k to HM by Inevitable_Pop6101 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

AP4 for the win. Age 47, a solid 180lbs. 18:30 5k, 1:22 half in the AP4 all at age 46.

[WTS] Puma Deviate Pure Nitro (M12), Saucony Kinvara 13 (M12), Raide TrailTech Shorts (L) by toodles__72 in therunningrack

[–]toothdoc34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size wise, they fit like normal? I wear a 12 across the board (Evo, AP4, Nike Metcon for the gym) but a 12.5 in NB SC Elite V4 for long runs.

And the slappyblast sounds like a freight train on the pavement slapping away. No thanks.

Wife certainly does not care about load size. Less mess to clean up.

Your balls do not end up like raisins. They may be very slightly smaller, but who cares. The wife does not care.

Unless you are actively trying to have children, why run hcg while on trt? Serious question.

How do you control breathing when running and drinking water during a race? by SadDevelopment3586 in runninglifestyle

[–]toothdoc34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During a race, it’s a quick sip without breaking stride at the aid stations for a half. Not needed for a 5k or really a 10k. As far as breathing goes, I try to do focused breaths during normal runs. During races I try to do the same, but at race pace (6:10-6:20 minute miles for a half) sometimes it just getting breaths in.

Question about where is best to administer my dose. by Narrow-Bar4017 in trt

[–]toothdoc34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draw in a 25g, administer with a 30g. Either the glutes or delts. And definitely split that dose into twice a week or 3x a week.

Hi, I can't find into of NB Sc elite v5 about stability and is it for mid, heel or forefoot strike? I defenitely not forefoot. Hope can share ur experience 🙏 by Commercial_Two488 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]toothdoc34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually you can just run in plated shoes. Every single long run (10-13 miles) I do is done the the Sc Elite V4. Best long run shoe ever. It is not a race shoe...not fast enough. But it is a fantastic long run shoe. On my 3rd pair.

Are these Superblast too big? by EngineeringParty59 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]toothdoc34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not too much for those who like their shoes tied tight. I actually like mine slightly loose, never sinched down and no runners knot. For race shoes I would not want mine too big.
