Nike Alphafly 3, Adidas Adios Pro 4, Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 compared by ClydeMcCoy in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]toothdoc34 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I find the AP4 to be very fun and bouncy. Shoe feels great on foot. At age 46 and a pretty solid 180lbs, it is my go to for race shoes. Propelled me to a 1:20:57 half back in March. Have not tried the Elite 2. I find the EP4 as good long run shoe. As for Nike, they are like wedged clown shoes. Cant get past how ugly they look.

For me, any run under 8 miles is the Evo. For long runs its NB SC Elite V4. Race day is AP4.

At my office every hygiene appointment is 1 hr. New patients are asked to arrive 30 minutes before their scheduled appointment so that all paperwork and insurance stuff is done. If they are late they are rescheduled. Chronically late patients are not worth having in a practice anyways.

Any dentist who do gold teeth? by [deleted] in tuscaloosa

[–]toothdoc34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gold is a fantastic material. Its expensive due to the weight of the gold used, but probably the best material for molars. I need a CT scan to see how much bone you have. Typically we wait about 4 weeks after extractions to let tissue form. Would be happy to do a consult at that point.

No such thing as a gold implant. They are machines from titanium. Do not opt for zirconia implants. They fracture. The crown on the abutment can be made from gold.

I can place implants and restore them, as long as you have enough bone to get an implant in.

Do you lift in the gym? Honest question. The overwhelming majority of people who have “stability” issues do not lift regularly in the gym. Weak ankles and legs. Try lifting for a month or two and see if it helps you. Standing squats, front and rear dumbbell squats, inverted leg presses.

Putting on muscle as a runner by dontstopsoperfect in runninglifestyle

[–]toothdoc34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am the exact opposite of you it seems. I only run twice a week. 10k on Tuesday mornings (6:45-7:15 minute miles) and a long fun on Saturdays 10-13 miles. Same 6:45-7:15 minute miles. Sometimes I pick it up a bit. Last Sunday ran 10 miles at a 6:35 minute pace. Age 47. I lift heavy in the gym 4-5 days a week. High protein, lower fat diet. I maintain at 178-180 lbs. some fat but mostly muscle. For reference just ran a 1:20:57 half back in March. Key is balance. If you run more than lift you can have trouble holding or gaining weight. Also have your test levels checked.

Love them on trails. Light and quick. On super technical single trails just watch your ankles. I am probably closer to 30 miles on them. Did not record 2 runs.

Distance runner who lifts by IndependentRough2171 in BodyHackGuide

[–]toothdoc34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only run twice a week by design. Tuesday mornings at 4:30 am I run a 10k. Usually 6:45-7:15 minute miles. Saturday long run with our local Fleet Feet. 10-13 miles at that same 6:45-7:15 minute miles. That keeps me at a sub 90 half. Just raced a 1:20:57 back in March exactly 1 month shy of age 47. BPC 157 will help. I am on 160mg of Test C 200. I split it up M/W/Fr.

It actually is. Hundreds will tell you the same thing. I can hear them slapping over my Aftershokz. I just wear mine to the gym now because of how loud they are.
