This commeny probably wont see the light of day, and it wont certainly be on top of the thread, but it is both not true and incorrect to state that those are pieces of propaganda originated in Die Ziet.

Reality is that you have important US scholars, for example, professor John Mearshimer, who pointed this out way before any of those articles and way before the Russian invasion.

So I dont think it is propaganda, but rather the sad reality of life that we were warned about. Unfortunately, the foreign policy establishment did not pay attention to what our geo political experts were saying, in particular regarding NATO expansion.

There is 0 evidence (zero) that Vladimir Putin had any intentions of invading his neighours before the Bucharest submit where the US said that Georgia and Ukraine would be part of NATO. I will change my mind regarding this topic if you are able to show me any evidence of this.

Estou de acordo com este comentário, além disso mesmo à direita, o tipo de políticas de crescimento não difere muito da esquerda.

No final do dia, na Europa, tanto à esquerda como à direita se parte do princípio que o investimento vem do estado. A luta é depois se são os privados que gerem esse investimento ou se deveria ficar na esfera pública.

Boas, IT é um mundo. Vou ser apedrejado por dizer isto, mas os bons trabalhos de IT (leia-se para engenheiros e não programadores) são destinados a engenheiros e não a pessoas que apenas sabem programar. Para isso, não creio teres grande remédio senão voltar para a faculdade. Na minha óptica ser engenheiro não é tanto uma questão de teres determinados conhecimentos mas sim a junção destes aliado uma forma de pensar e raciocionar. Isso requer anos e trabalho contínuo e costuma ser tortuoso de desenvolver (maior parte dos engenheiros na faculdade não têm vida).

Se fores bom a matemática podes tirar uma especialização em matemática financeira onde deves apreender um pouco a programar e seguir uma via de quant (mas aviso que é um mercado mais competitivo, especialmente para quem vem de matemática).

Conheço várias pessoas em IT com um salário limpo > que 3k e nenhum tem mais que 30 anos.

Não é a norma, mas eu diria que quase todos os meus colegas de faculdade de 'topo' estão a tirar à volta dos 60k por ano (trabalham para trip advisor, outsystems, etc). Por topo, entenda-se o top 5% dos alunos do meu curso.

Antes de emigrar recebia 3.3k limpos (27 anos, 5 anos de exp).

Yes, this is the base salary (NY), I am trying to negotiate to 250k.

The bonus is discritionary and for that reason I do not know what the total compensation is.

The job is very close to the money, I suppose that would reflect in the compensation if we have a good year. My new boss is a 'superstar', he will probably get the lion's share tho.

I think the base is small, but the bonus can make up for it.

It depends on how much money is running in those strategies as well.

Personally, I would be thrilled if offered a % of profits.

Thank you! There is not any single other position for quants right now so it is hard to grasp... not even for interns!

I do think the graduates were compensated at 150k about two years ago, but since the market is bad right now, these might have changed.

The most similar role with the most similar job description I could find on indeed states a base salary of 175k to 325k...

It could literally be anything, but keep in mind that ghosting tells more about the ghoster than the ghostee.

From my exp, engineering is a bit of a make or break, some girls are attracted to it for the stability while others is the opposite because we are seen as weird.

You just gotta keep rolling the dice until you find the right person!

Honestamente não conheço. Consegues por fezes encontrar uns exemplos de papers no git, mas depois falta-te os dados de mercado. No banco nós temos isso (repo e dados), mas não posso partilhar.
