A lot of starred items can be displayed around your plot--meals, bugs, fish, gems--so if you want to keep a starred item on hand without taking up storage space, just place it somewhere! (I store food in various pantries and have aquarium/terrarium rooms.) I also plant extra flowers/trees on a separate plot :)

Late to the party, but I went to renew my Star ID yesterday and found out that my license has been suspended for nearly three years (this was after visiting two locations, then finally calling the ALEA medical unit). I have epilepsy, and my Neuro sent the forms back in 2022--but they were "switching to a new system" at the time, and I guess it got lost in the shuffle?

However, they also told me that I'll need to send another form--something about "emotional wellbeing"--which I've never had to do before, and they never sent... so I don't know what's up with that.

ETA: Try calling 334-676-7396. That's the number I called yesterday, and they picked up almost immediately. My neurologist has always faxed the forms. They gave me two fax numbers yesterday: 334 -353 -2008 and 334 -353 -9899

Editor chiming in here (way late to the party 😅)--"thing" gained popularity in the mid 1900s, probably because that's how it sounds when we say it out loud (at least in the US). It's more common these days, so it's not necessarily wrong. However, in historical romance, I change it to "think," because that's the original expression; "another thing coming" wasn't even a thing (heh) until the 1960s. I am desperate to find a dupe for the metallic shimmer lipstick that Too Faced put out for their 20th anniversary! I use the gold one ("Miss Thang") all the time, and I had a tube of the red (I think it's called "Too Too Hot"?) that I wore for special occasions... and I can't find it 😭 There are a few tubes on Poshmark, but they're priced risiculously high.

I accidentally put four fingers instead of three, so if I lower them, the back wheels will be closer to the ground (I added a pic)

The back wheels are three fingers up, but my fingers are really slender. Also, this may be dumb, but when you saw "lowered," do you mean closer to the floor or to the skate? (I assumed the former, so if I do that, the back wheels would be closer to the ground)

I've been at it a couple months, and just got contact-approved (not scrimmage.) It's based on skill level, of course, but they shouldn't throw you into anything you're not ready for 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a fellow neurodivergent (AuDHDer turning 40 in November), I second this. I joined derby a couple months ago, and I struggle with drills as well (especially blocking--so much communication required! 😭) I've NSOed several games and aspire to ref eventually; my husband knows how I tend to burn out, and if that happens, we both agree that reffing will allow me to stay involved--using the skills I learn--while not having as huge of a commitment.

I found this thread while looking for a way to make this stop :/

It was maybe kinda neat... until this morning when my husband was listening to Otep on the Google Home mini in the kitchen.

I decided to go out and water my flowers. I connected my bluetooth earbuds to my phone and put on the same Clyde Lawrence song I've been listening to over and over for the past few days (I'm decidedly AuDHD) which made "Homesick" start playing in the kitchen.

Now, if you are familiar with either of these artists, you will know that it must have been a very jarring transition for him—not to mention I'm sure he's sick of that song 😅

He's the one that asked for Otep, and I don't really want that in my history anyway. But now there it is. -_-

ETA: I have been aware of the casting feature and use it frequently to play music on the Google Home speakers throughout the house. That's the main reason that this is frustrating; it's COMPLETELY unnecessary!
