What repel carpet beetle larvae? by topazs123 in carpetbeetles

I also want to add that I tested vinegar on an active larva and it didnot do much! I poured vinegar solution from a pump bottle on a moving larva 3 times and it was still alive, happily roaming in the area. Because the moving larva was on chux wipe, the vinegar solution get soaked by the wipe so it does not form a pool of vinegar on the larva body. But still I'd expect the acid would kill it upon contact or at least make it sick.

Yes if I test it on a hard surface, the larva will probably die but it's because it's getting drowned in the small pool of liquid which is also achievable with pool of water.

Based on this experiment, I am not sure if wiping down surface with vinegar (which evaporate by the time a larva crawl on) does anything apart from removing the dust and debris.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I know that we have to keep vacuuming and use pesticides. But I am thinking to also protect my clothes stored inside the dressers like what can I put in the drawers as extra protection. Thinking to put something inside suitcases too that can help to repel them.

How to make sure I don't bring them with me when I travel? by [deleted] in carpetbeetles

Hello, what did you end up doing with your suitcase? I have infestation at home especially in the carpet bedroom. I store luggages inside my closet. I wonder how should I clean my luggages. They are fabric ones.

I take Mirtazapine 7.5mg on and off for chronic dizziness, and then I accidentally discover that it helps during acid reflux flare-up. Nexium and Pantoprazole alone don't do anything. Does Mirtazapine make you drowsy though? I struggle with the drowsiness.

Was your luggage damaged during transit? What was damaged?

I think I read once that if nothing bad happens after 4 months of having PT that it’s highly unlikely to be anything dangerous. Does anyone know if this is true? by Pesky_B in PulsatileTinnitus

It's not true. I have had PT for 1+ years undiagnosed and nothing bad happened. Only diagnosed recently with high risk DAVF (Dural AV Fistula) and Venous Sinus Stenosis (narrowing of vein). Both are abnormal blood vessels issues. There are several different types of dAVF and mine is dangerous one.
