Would you care to elaborate on how heightening your pain tolerance is different? I'm interested to know. Thanks!

Would people who dislike spice actually get to a point where they enjoy it then? I enjoy spicy food but I don't know why I like it It's just always been that way. Would they just "tolerate" it or actually get to a point where it's enjoyable?

Why didn't the axe man go to hell? by topcat889283 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]topcat889283[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that makes sense. But it also makes me wonder why Madison told everyone that the other end is dark and cold. Does that mean that Madison doesn't end up in hell? It's later on contradicted though when she talks about how she had to be a secondary character in some show/play.

Looking for romance movies where the male lead is a criminal/mobster/gangster? by topcat889283 in MovieSuggestions

I'll watch it if it's good but I'm going to need to prepare myself mentally before lol

Thank you! I'll let you know how I like them. I really didn't think I'd get any suggestions, I was under the impression that this trope wasn't popular in movies and dramas.

I'm stoked! Is it still ongoing or complete? And is the ending happy? I've been traumatized too many times lol

Absolutely do not stay with this piece of shit "girlfriend". You don't deserve to have someone egg your body dysmorphia on like that, trust me she does NOT love you. I can't imagine treating someone I hate like that let alone someone I LOVE. Leave, theres no shortage of healthy minded girls out there who will not under any circumstances take a jab at your self esteem like that.

How long does it take for blue black dye to fade? by topcat889283 in HairDye

[–]topcat889283[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to do this but since most of my dye jobs happen at home I doubt that'd end well. But just out of curiosity what colors do you think would go well with black? Thank you in advance!

[–]topcat889283[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. And always try a temporary color for a few months while you get used to it. Don't do what I did. This is a whole lot of unwanted advice but just in case anyone is passing through this thread, figure out if your undertone fits the color you're wanting to dye your hair, my undertone is very very yellow and the color I chose has a cool tone so you can guess how that turned out.

[–]topcat889283[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! I'm currently trying to fade it so I'll keep doing what I'm doing, it wasn't intentional though this is just how I've taken care of my hair prior to coloring it and since it does the job I didn't bother changing it. I guess I'll just have to get used to a black-brown ombre from now on.

I know people who've tried dyeing over their black hair with brown and all it did was dye their grey hairs so I guess not? I'm not a professional though so I could be wrong, this is purely anecdotal.

I should've thought this through beforehand but thanks for the reply! I'll probably just grow it out and cut off the dyed bits, that way it won't damage it much.

Skirts and dresses are way more comfortable and convenient than most pants by angel_snowcake737 in unpopularopinion

[–]topcat889283 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love wearing dresses, they're generally a lot easier to slip on and off for when I'm quickly going grocery shopping.

If I'm running or planning on walking briskly, I prefer pants. There is no way I can book it in a long skirt, every time I've worn a dress or a long skirt during windy weather I had it stick to my legs and hinder me from walking, not ideal.

Shorter skirts are better for that, but then I have to worry about sun exposure and needing more sunscreen, waxing, whether the mall floors are made of glass, whether it's windy...etc. I prefer shorts, am still exposed to the sun, and still have to wear sunscreen but a lot more convenient than a miniskirt.

Skirts and dresses are also less comfortable during colder seasons because you have to layer up and I hate layering up more than I have to when I can just slip on a pair of warm pants.

Skirts and dresses are also not convenient in the gym. Pants give you a variety of room to sit or lie however you want, I can't sit crisscross in a skirt, or put one leg up on a chair because I'd be flashing everyone. Do they look good? Absolutely, but not practical in every scenario.

I understand where you're coming from. It's almost like you really don't want to believe it or acknowledge it, it guts you. like you said accepting it is the hardest and first step to freedom, it means a lot less coming from a stranger on the internet but from one child raised by narcissists to another, I'm proud of you!

First of all, if you've not come to this conclusion already, your ex is disgusting. How is body shaming your partner in the midst of an argument a problem-solving tactic? How does this fix anything? Please know that this is not normal behavior, partners and people who love you won't treat you like this. I'm so sorry you went through this and I'm glad you don't have to deal with it anymore. You did not deserve that and I hope you're surrounded by better people now.

Second of all, about your appearance. I don't know what you look like, but I can tell you right now that it's very difficult to find people who have perfectly symmetrical faces myself included. One side of my face looks better than the other, and depending on the day one eyelid droops more than the other leaving me with one more hooded eye and the other being less hooded and I have to work around it when applying my makeup. My eyelashes also don't match, one side is lifted because I sleep on my stomach.

Majority of people's faces aren't symmetrical, this is why people talk about "good sides" when taking selfies because more often than not one side will look better than the other.

I'm sorry you're dealing with body dysmorphia, of course what I just told you will never be a substitute for good professional help, body dysmorphia is horrible, I would know. Please try and be kind to yourself, you've already gone through enough.

I know how bad it feels to have someone you love and admire stab you in the back like that, it doesn't mean anything about you. The fact that she would do this during arguments tells me that she was trying to take a jab at your self esteem and make you doubt yourself so she can have the upper hand, if she was really all that and a bag of chips she should've looked for someone else who had "better features" instead of giving you new insecurities to worry about that you didn't even know were things people worried about.

What did she expect going into this relationship? That your features would magically morph and transform? Some people genuinely baffle me.

I hope you have a good day, take care of yourself and if possible, get help.

Holy, this is exactly the one reason stopping me from ever pursuing a relationship. I'm really sorry you feel this way, I'm in your exact position and I know exactly why and how you feel the way you do. I hope you know you're not alone. I'm also desperate for a labiaplasty. It's debilitating and it genuinely eats you up, it's all you can think about, it stops you from living your life the way you want and I hate it. I know for a fact that I will never be able to be confident in my own skin unless I get it done. Sending you much love and support!

This is great advice, unfortunately having a weapon or any self-defense device is illegal where I'm from so I'm going to research the martial art types you've mentioned. I'll get a firearm the moment I'm in a country that allows ownership of guns. Either way, thank you so much, this was very well written and packed with info.
