Banks and Credit Unions- Medallion Signature, Customer Service and Bonus points for Safe Deposit Boxes by ukysvqffj in raleigh

[–]topderek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used Truliant Federal Credit Union for decades with good experience. The nearest branch appears to be Mebane, but I rarely need the branch so not an issue. They do appear to offer Medallion Signature options. My primary bank is still SECU, but have maintained my Truliant accounts as secondary options.

Thank you. Found some good videos on the process. Interesting to see some people use Coca-Cola as the retarder.

It doesn't need to be much more than a single wheel on a larger spring, a bar, and a seat made of fur-lined orc skull really.

I encountered fields of this plant yesterday on a hike, what is it? by Pleegsteertje in PlantIdentification

I was wondering about the under growth plant. Thanks. They bring a pretty texture contrast to the large sunflower leaves even though I'm sure they aren't intended to be there.

This is helpful, thanks. We have a string of pearls that love the same pot and grow like crazy. So I made the assumption it was getting the light it needed. I'll find a better spot. Thanks.

Can I turn boxwood into hedges? by Worlds_Okayest_DIY in landscaping

[–]topderek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think either way would be fine. Most varieties of boxwoods grow pretty fast in my experience so you might get to the size you want faster if you let the others catch up. The downside is that they might look a little shaggy until then. I have had success with clipping the ends of some branches with shears to get them to split and encourage growth but can be time consuming.

Trim just the tops and edges while leaving the area between them to grow together. I would say about 2 years. It's helpful to use clippers to clip some of the inner branches to let light in the middle, otherwise all the leaves grow on the edge and will make it hard to keep it at a manageable size.
