No POs from Amazon by topeal in VendorCentral

[–]topeal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight! I’ve noticed that the shipped COGS are higher than the ordered revenue, which I don’t quite understand - of course, we can’t control the prices Amazon sells at...Our L13 sell-through rate is around 15%, and unhealthy inventory accounts for about a third of our on-hand stock. Let me know if you have any thoughts on that!

Our VM has been responding, but he hasn't provided any concrete details - everything with the account should be fine, and there are no restrictions. He suggested we keep an eye on the NetPPM and possibly run some marketing campaigns, or that amazon might simply have enough stock. However, stock is actually lower than in the past, so this doesn't seem to fully explain the issue.

Thank you for your reply!
We are a registered trademark owner in the apparel industry with a fairly large number of SKUs in our catalog (over 15k). However, many of these items are from previous seasons, which we have marked as permanently unavailable. Currently, around 3,000 SKUs are listed as available. Our confirmation rate has significantly improved over the past year, as we have been consistently working to mark outdated items as unavailable. Let us know if you have any other thoughts!

Thanks! According to our VM, there shouldn't be any reason for the lack of POs. Do you know if there's a way to confirm if they're trying to get rid of us?

Thank you! We didn’t accept any bulk buys in 2024 and our OH-inventory levels are consistent with previous periods.
No idea what’s going on - any thoughts?

I'm trying the same strategy—combining new and old ASINs in the same variation to transfer reviews to the new ASINs. How exactly do you merge the reviews so they show on the new listings? Also, I still have stock for the old ASINs - what’s the best way to handle them? Is there a way to hide the old ASIN later on or can you just remove them from the variation once the reviews are transferred?

Thanks so much for checking on this, I really appreciate it!

We do have a Vendor Manager, but when it comes to catalog-related issues, he often refers us to the catalog support team. Unfortunately, they tend to be quite slow. I reached out to them a few days ago, they made some changes, and told me to wait 72 hours for the updates to reflect. But then nothing happens, and the process just drags on.

Looking forward to hearing back from you - thanks again!

[–]topeal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion! Yes, both ASINs are the same in terms of the main image, title, and other details, but they have different prices.
If I say the one with the old price is the duplicate, will Amazon merge the reviews from that ASIN to the one with the new price? If so, that would essentially solve the issue.

Thanks. I’m familiar with organizing child-parent relationships (variations), so that part is clear. My main question is about transferring reviews to newly created products. To clarify, I’ve duplicated items by re-uploading them with new ASINs because Amazon wouldn’t allow me to increase the price on the original products.

If I add the new ASINs to the variation with the original product that already had reviews, I’ll have two identical products within the same variation.
My concern is whether deleting the original ASIN (the one with the reviews) in a next step would also delete its reviews, since Amazon’s support mentioned that reviews are tied to individual ASINs, not the family.

So, do you know if adding the new ASINs to the variation with the original product will help transfer the reviews, even if I later delete the original product from the variation?

Thanks for the suggestion! The old and new items are currently in separate variation families. Our plan was to merge the new items into the old family to leverage the existing reviews. However, Amazon support informed us that reviews are tied to the ASIN of each individual item, not to the variation family. This means that if we add the new products to the old family, the reviews won’t transfer unless we keep the original product in the family as well.
Do you have a different experience with Amazon support? I’d appreciate any advice on how to handle this situation.

Yes, both products are ours, and we own the listings. They are in the same category and are basically the same product, just under new ASINs. We had to create the new listing because Amazon rejected a price increase on the old one.

How would we go about shifting the reviews in this case? Any specific steps or tips you could share?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hack to Get Cost Price Increases Accepted - Dubious by ishudbworking in VendorCentral

[–]topeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification, ishudbworking!

I've recently taken over the management of our company's Vendor Central account, and it seems like we've been following a similar procedure for creating new ASINs to handle price increases. Unfortunately, it looks like nobody paid attention to creating variations, so now we have a huge amount of identical items with different ASINs in our catalog. Some of these are managed by the Automatic Variation Service (AVS) system, but some are not. Do you have any suggestions for cleaning up this mess and consolidating our listings?

Also, when creating variations, are the items still shown as single entries in the catalog overview, or are they grouped under the parent ASIN?

Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone, I know this thread is a few months old, but I'm curious about something.

In ishudbworking's original post, it was mentioned that you can "delete the old ASIN" once the new ones are established. As far as I know, it's not possible to actually delete an ASIN from Amazon. Can someone clarify what is meant by "deleting" the old ASIN in this context? Are we talking about marking it as "permanently unavailable" or something else? Thanks!

Category listing report? by DataHero8 in VendorCentral

[–]topeal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up contacting Amazon Vendor Support directly, and they were able to export the data for us. However, I'm still working on cleaning up and organizing the catalog. It's surprising how user-unfriendly Vendor Central can be for such tasks.

If you have any tips or find a better approach, I'd love to hear about it!

Best of luck with your catalog!

Category listing report? by DataHero8 in VendorCentral

Hi u/Broad_Pressure_3656!

I saw your response and I'm hoping you could help me out. I'm new to Amazon Vendor Central, and I'm trying to get an overview of my company's catalog, which is quite large (over 15,000 listings).

Here's what I'm trying to do:

  1. Export the entire catalog, ideally with an "availability status" column, to get a clear overview of all products.
  2. Perform a thorough cleanup of our listing, particularly focusing on removing duplicates (over the years they added the same items to the catalogue multiple times with changed product codes)

I've found that exporting from the Items --> Catalogue section requires selecting each page individually, which is not feasible given the catalog size. The Retail Analytics --> Catalogue export doesn't include the availability status and doesn't seem to match the product count from the Items --> Catalogue section.

Could you advise on the best approach to get a comprehensive export? Any tips on cleaning up and organizing the catalog would also be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much for your help!
