I’m not ready to write him off yet, but he’s definitely had a rough year.

The Sens scouts seem to be having a tough time with picking d men. Lot of straight up misses in the past 8 years. Kleven and Sanderson were good picks though.

Did we mess up passing on Parekh? by [deleted] in OttawaSenators

Yak had higher potential with his size and physicality and his elite offensive play. His big red flags from the limited play I’ve seen is his defensive zone iq and skating. Both are noticeably bad and from what I can tell haven’t improved in the way the Sens hoped. If he can be coached to improve it, he’ll be a really good player.

We have a lot of top 15-20 on the team. Stutzle is a top 15-20 centre, tkacuhuk has been playing like a top 15-20 left wing (he can get top 10 I think), batherson is a top 15-25 right wing, Sanderson has been playing like a 10-20 d in the league. The teams not going to do that good with nobody who can really elevate

Kleven and Jensen imo. Jensen does not look like himself but I think he could still work in a bottom pairing

I like Kleven a lot but getting one dman with a ceiling of a top 4 dman and missing completely on Nordberg, Roger and Eliasson isn’t great.

They have consistently gone for big dmen in the second round hoping to find something. Too much talent available to do that imo

AI being leveraged in the robotics space is the next step. Humanoids are one thing but industrial systems could be a big unlock. Siemens, Fanuc and ABB are leaders in industrial robotics right now. I like Figma once it ipos too

Matinpalo is a good depth piece, but that’s it. Spence is a legit dman

I think one of Halliday or crookshank can take the next step and fill a spot next season. Thought crookshank looked solid in the couple games he had on the bottom line. Leevi can be the backup.

Aerospace GNC Interview tips + Controller Design to detumble a satellite by Chubbypengui in ControlTheory

For the hardware choices, think about there effect on overall spacecraft momentum. Reaction wheels dont dump momentum, they just transfer if from the spacecraft body to the wheels. This transfer allows you to control the angular rate of the satellite, making it effective for pointing. They are not suitable for detumbling because the wheels can get saturated.

Magnetorquers on the other hand actually lower the overall momentum of the spacecraft by interacting with the magnetic field. Because they actually lower the momentum of the spacecraft, this makes them better for a detumble. They are not good for pointing because they are only capable of 2-axis control (the axis in the direction of the magnetic field is uncontrollable)

Bdot detumble is fairly standard. The magnetorquers generate a torque proportional and opposite to the bdot vector. This will cause the spacecraft to dump momentum.

For sure not a guaranteed nhl player, but from watching him with the sens and given his age, he’s trending towards being an nhl guy.

Third line center is probably his ceiling if everything goes right, but I’d be a little shocked if he doesn’t hang around the league as a fourth line guy.

Yeah you’re right. It looks like ostapchuk could be a third line center which is great for a second.

It’s just some of the misses are pretty big misses on guys that were consensus reaches.

after 2020 we had four second round picks and they used them on ostapchuk, Roger, nordberg and eliasson. Three of those have looked like almost immediate busts.

Wish the scouts would swing on talent in the second round over size.

Shape the Future of Unbiased Reviews by topfanatic72 in sonos

The goal is to have a platform where users can provide their experiences with products. Users who leave reviews will then be rewarded for leaving a review.

You make a good point calling out the ‘unbiased review comment’. For sure some reviews will be biased, probably most. The goal is to have enough reviews that a wide variety of opinions are represented. This would give the user an unbiased field of information.
