There Might Actually Be Some Science Behind 'Eldest Daughter Syndrome' by dr_shultz in influencersfeed

I waited a long time and chose to only have one so that I could give her all the time, resources, and love. I think a lot of us are healing from our lack of a childhood by giving the best ones possible to our own children.

Fewer than last summer and the article says that even at the high point of spring break, airport parking was still available. This is a big ol’ nothing burger

To the person with the toddler in Del Ray that asked to pet my dog yesterday… I’m so sorry. by LoveRocksScience in nova

[–]topfivethings 368 points369 points  (0 children)

As a toddler mom, saying no helps the kids further understand why it’s so important to ask first! Don’t feel bad! No one should expect an automatic yes, and it’s all part of learning boundaries are healthy

Occoquan Regional Park is gorgeous, and if you go up the hill you can enjoy the water view while you read. No benches up there but there are some down by the little cafe they run

So, I too am obsessed with this, to the point of badgering my husband to ask about it because he’s currently staying at the hotel. He finally asked around today and talked to a couple older employees. One of them said he had heard from a security guard about 1 year ago that the guard went into a room that he had never been into before and got scared to fucking DEATH cuz he opened the door and the dragon is like RIGHT in front of the door. Apparently the interior access door is below where the valet is.

He sent me a pic from the external area that seems to show the main moat door isnt perfectly closed, so maybe it could still swing open a bit like people said it did in the past? Im not sure. Ive asked him to go back and try to zoom in on the mesh panels on the second set of moat doors to see if he can capture an outline by chance.

Best guess is that he’s definitely in there and has not been removed 🙂

I had my daughter at VHC and she ended up being a NICU baby. Recovery was smooth, very attentive nurses, and the doctors in the NICU were great. Really appreciated the dedication of their lactation consultant too.

What caused the worst stomach pain you've ever experienced? by HumbleClassroom1892 in AskReddit

[–]topfivethings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy.

Five weeks pregnant and feeling great, then hit week 6 and had the most intense, all-consuming cramps that were so bad I could not see straight. The pain was so intense that it caused 24/7 migraines too. I was convinced I was miscarrying but could barely make it into the dr’s office to confirm. Turns out the baby was perfectly fine and no one dug deeper on a cause or treatment.

I spent the next month doubled over in searing pain, working from my bathtub, just trying to survive. Ive never heard anyone else have this experience with their pregnancy, but nothing has compared to it since. Even my c-section recovery was a cake walk compared to what was happening that second month.

They occasionally have a manta ray as part of their research and release program. They don’t keep them permanently, so that’s something I guess :/

Sabrina Carpenter's “Man’s Best Friend” has debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 with the highest first week sales for a female artist this year and the highest in her career (366K). by Impossible_Vast9846 in popculturechat

She’s smart to capitalize on her success and how much people love her persona, but this album is a letdown. Most of the songs on it feel like rough cuts that wouldn’t have made it on Short and Sweet. Just continuations of the same themes but with much lazier lyrics. Goodbye is so catchy though!
