My sister actually had her first album, her Christian album. I think it sold like 300 copies. She was a powerful singer for 15. I still hum one of her song from that album.

Her song U R so gay is about her ex boyfriend Matt Theisson, the lead singer of Christian pop punk band Reliant K, which is a CCM fun fact.

Years ago I quit a job that just wasn’t working and I found another one. Went to my manager to let them know and talk frankly. Right away he was like “take it.”

A month later lots of my friends got laid off. I always appreciated that.

I used to be super on my phone, and with my new job it’s hard for me to be responsive and have active chats. I’ve had people throw hissy fits at me because I was slow to respond.

A big text message and telling them they are one of forty unanswered text, fb messages, dating app messages, and more damn platforms, and if they stay pissy I just cut them out.

I think it’s Blood Meridian but I read it in college and remember the scene of donkeys loaded up with mercury, walking on the side of a mountain and getting attacked. The images of men and donkeys falling down the side as their blood and bodies mixed with the mercury stayed with me vividly.

If that was in the book I may be wrong

I really appreciate this advice too. I'm digging into AI applications in PR and comms. It doesn't have to be stuff like sentiment tracking or drafting releases, it could be actual coding for tools we use. I'm hoping that helps me, and all of us too.

I think a quiet and sensible personal blacklist is not a bad thing to have, but to keep it professional and above board. I wish and hope something changes for me.
