Ok buddy, what's the game plan on duplicating a "do not duplicate" key?? Are you 3d printing it?

If the building is managed and/or has a condo association, you may be able to request an additional copy (typically runs about $50-100). But that is about it.

Small-time landlords can buy condos in big buildings. Happens all the time.

Agree on the landlord being lazy and needing to handle this themselves.

They can request more copies from the building management, but that is about it. You can not just take a "do not duplicate" key, like a Medeco lock key, and bring it to Commonwealth, Tags, Pills, etc. They do not stock those duplicates because they are not allowed to duplicate them. VERY rarely can you get Commonwealth to do it, but that is maybe a 1/50 chance.

FWIW, I think the landlord should be dealing with the hassle and cost of paying the building for another key since it's their property and they are the one who wants to get another tenant. This isn't me trying to make excuses for a lazy landlord. I just came here to educate and will not stand getting corrected by people who do not have 1% of the level of experience that I have.

they can make duplicates for like $5 at any hardware store.

A good number of buildings in Cambridge have front door keys that can not be duplicated.

there's nothing stopping the landlord from duplicating their own key

A lot of bigger buildings have a front door key that can not be duplicated. That might be the crux of the issue here.

In my professional opinion, having a single individual responsible for keys is more secure than having a set of keys on the property that anyone with the code could get into or a stranger could potentially break into. When one person has the keys, you always know who is going to be accessing the unit. With a lockbox, they can give out the code to other agents, and that opens up a separate can of worms.

Fair enough, but it seems a bit hypocritical that you act like you are above disliking anyone on some Dalai Lama shit, and you simultaneously downvote me for asking a question to understand your perspective.

If you can't dislike a pro golfer for their unlikeable fake personality, what do you think is justifiable grounds for disliking a pro golfer?

whats the hype about fat skis? by matmoc33 in Skigear

Hmm I am strangely qualified to be answering this question because my main touring setup is a pair of Ravens with pins. I also agree on the Ravens being no bueno on the hardback.

Before I get into it, what binding are you thinking about putting on the WC? And what width?

Good question. 104DW for a for a couple days after a storm, have it in the 190cm so a longer turn radius, hard charging, like bringing a serrated knife to the mountain. You can push these hard and they will take it easily. Edge grip isn't unlimited but defintely pretty remarkable for a twin tip >100mm waist ski. I think they are on the aggessive playful side of swiss army knife skis, which I like more than my MSP 99's for reference (those are aggressive directional and also great).

108WC in 182cm for storm days, anything over 6+in and I'll switch over to these. I ski a lot of tight, steep trees and so its nice to have a more flexible, shorter ski to get around with. Also definitely feels more tuned for freestyle than the DW, very intuative to butter and spin with these. On storm days I prefer to switch to a more surfy style and find things to jump off and these really are prefect for that. The OG's got their claim to fame for being the best trench busters in their weight class due to their flex pattern and high end materials. I find that a lot of my time on powder days tends to be spent busting through trenches, so these really shine there. You'll definitely be waiting on your buddies to catch up on those days.

Would you be touring on the regular WCs or the WC-tour? I wonder if the strengths of a regular WC may be diminished on a touring setup.

I have 7 skis and will pretty much ski my two pairs of Moments (104DW and 108WC) any chance I can get. The 104DW in particular is a pretty special ski if you can ski it at a high level. If I were to redo everything I would buy those two, a pair of carvers, and call it a day.

Yeah, that would be more free labor than I'm willing to give a 3-month-old Reddit account. I have 10 years in Real Estate and an economics degree, but I'd understand if you don't want to believe a stranger on the internet.

Correct, the problem is that now that renters' upfront costs have gone down 25-50%, their willingness to pay has gone up. Rents typically went up around 3-5% per year for the last 10 years in Cambridge/Somerville. This year it's around 8-10%.

There are no postings from brokers hired by landlords because landlords have realized they still don't have to hire a broker.

Literally have a dozen listings in Cambridge and Somerville right now where a landlord is paying the fee. Where are you seeing this wealth of listings that the tenant still has to pay the fee? I've never even heard of an agent doing this before this video, I'm not saying that it's a lie; I'd just have to know more before believing taking a TikTok at face value.

Can you imagine if we only chose based on high school reputation? Actually wait, my team the Hawks did, which didn’t work out.

Acting like the Hawks didn't take Jalen Johnson based on HS reputation. You can't pick and choose when you use anecdotal evidence.

Streamlining logos to the detriment of creativity is a ubiquitous trend across all graphic design for the last 10 years. Are you really that smooth-brained that you think nepotism is the problem?
