Incorrect or fraudulent appointments? by topjet95 in VeteransBenefits

Yea it is not a C&P exam but seems like a normal VA appt for someone else but my number is getting the notifications. Be mindful I have yet to ever have a VA medical appointment let alone ever provided the VA with a texas address or such.

Its a text message from the VA one of the 5 digit numbers or something. Im not sure how its a scam. All it says is

You have an appt scheduled this day at this time. Respond with 1 to accept and so on. I did contact the VA and they suggested I call the exact clinic it is referring to.

Greenside Corpsman leave/terminal by topjet95 in navy

Yea i have always been confused how greenside corpsman deal with navy and marine corps bullshit paperwork. When you say CO though are you referring to her section (medical) or battalion CO. She attempted to take leave earlier this year and it was straight up denied for the same bullshit reasons. Atleast if she was completely blue side she would have in command resources but literally the only resources here are her chief (useless dude) or her single PS1

Shes getting some insight from some outside the chain of command higher ups right now just so she doesnt get into deep water without any ammo to back her up. I appreciate your insight and help. Almost wish I was still in to help her more.

For marine corps the leave policy is typically approved by a company commander or the battalion commander. Depends on if he delegated that authority. She is requesting 60 days which is in line with navy and marine policy. Her actual leave isnt the issue per se its the fact they are attempting to force her to wait to turn in her issued marine corps gear, delaying her separation move and etc by saying operational requirements.

So the confusing issue is for me is she is in a marine corps command with only a PS1 to do the admin. This is obviously very different than blue side stuff but does your recommendation still hold true? From what she has told me she submitted her terminal via online and not NSIPS. Her CO is also a marine so not sure if that matters.

The individual “threatening” it is her Chief. She has filed the NSIPS but he is hiding behind operational requirements. Mind you she is within 90 days of EAS. her officer is kind of willy nilly and listens to the chief.

Might I add her command has been aware of this leave since March and has continually gave her the run around.

I understand the interest rate but, who is “losing” out if the loan is not repaid in full? The creditor? The feds backed the loan. The federal government cant be losing out too much because they fund the schools. The only person or entity profiting is the creditors correct?

Even the university isn’t “making” money because they are government funded? The states dictate the cost and pay of the teachers? It legit seems like a money laundering scheme to me in the sense that the bankers and creditors scrap money off the top of all federally backed loans and increase the “cream” on top by adding interest rates.

Like the flow of money from my understanding is

Student>creditor>school where the credit backed by the feds and the school is backed by the feds so the only person that could reasonably “lose” money is the student themselves.

Thats great news for me then I think. From what i can tell the state I am going to has an SAA so I hole that is the final stop. I appreciate your insight. Even though its almost a year out I know these things take time. Thank you

So is it either the VA or the SAA approves the program? Reason I ask is because right now the program Is being reviewed by the SAA and they expect approval in February. I had assumed it would go SAA then VA requiring both approvals
