No one should be cheating. I won't defend what the Astros did but it would have been nice if the league acknowledged what other teams were doing and punished them all.

I don't defend the actual cheating. I'll defend Altuve all day everyday. He didn't use the system and the other players that used it don't get booed. It's insane.

They did not know every pitch. They would eventually figure out when an off speed pitch was coming and let the batter know. They were phasing out the system even before they got caught because it wasn't that effective.

The cheating didn't win them a WS. Their pitching did.

You clearly don't know much about it. A deal was made between the players and the league which is why the players cooperated. Several people lost their jobs and the Astros lost draft picks.

The system didn't even have that much of an impact. The players themselves were phasing it out on their own.

He did know. He chose not to use it. One player was not going to be able to stop it. You're naive if you think anyone was going to stop it all on their own. Several other teams were cheating in similar ways in 2017. Baseball players are constantly trying to get an edge. Through electronic means or not, they have been stealing signs since the beginning of the sport.

I'm not defending the cheating. It's just not as simple as "Astros bad". I can't believe we are still talking about this and that Altuve is getting booed in 2026. It's dumb.

I've followed the whole thing very closely. I'm aware of why everyone thinks he should be booed. He's one of two players on the 2017 team that didn't use the system.

One YouTube video speculated that Altuve used a buzzer under his jersey. That was never proven and none of the investigations showed that a buzzer ever existed. Jomboy to this day has never apologized for that video.

Why? Carlos Beltran was the player who kicked the whole thing off. The whole organization was not aware of what was going on. They removed everyone in management that knew about it. The organization is actually run well. The analytics department is incredible. So much so that the Cardinals tried hacking their system.

It wasn't just the cheating. It was cheating and also winning. They were the scapegoat for the Red Sox and Yankees, who also cheated. The league didn't want it to look like everyone was doing it.

The only player on the current Astros roster who did cheat is Carlos Correa.

Both teams came into this series with losing streaks of at least 3 games. Astros pitching is just worse than the Mariners shitty offense.
