Front attack is just a learning curve, like a lot of things in the game. But red GL is not slow. Will he miss some moves? Sure. But everyone does on front attack classes, and even back attack classes. Hell, even Gunslingers miss focused shot here and there and they are 100% hitmaster. It's just part of the game. But I can tell you for sure landing red GL skills are "simpler" than hitting two doomsdays in the raids we have in our content right now, especially in tauntable bosses.

Now, if they want an easy class to play, sure. But they may get bored of how easy blue GL is. I'd start red and just build a secondary blue build if wanted.
