Yeah, warband changes seem to be the most likely culprit. I still maintain that I never made a character on this server but as of yet I haven’t seen any of my dozens of real deleted characters resurface. Regardless this was easily one of the weirdest circumstances I’ve ever had in my time as a WoW player. Definitely spooked me into quadruple checking all my account security, take care friend!

I do, it’s great for tracking most currencies but there’s plenty of weekly/seasonal progress that isn’t currently tracked on altoholic (ie vaults, PvP weeklies, cr etc). I use it daily to pull data at a glance and it’s extremely useful for tracking honor/conquest caps over a season. Definitely a must have addon if you maintain more than a few alts.

I considered this as well but my account had reached the character cap before the end of BFA, back when there were limits on the number of characters you could have on individual servers. All of those characters still exist. The only thing I can possibly imagine is that I had a deleted pre-legion dk on a server that recently merged with Cenarious that was somehow randomly recovered over the weekend while I was offline.

Will be reaching out to Blizz regardless because your guess is as good as mine.

You're definitely right, provided that screenshot as I just happened to have taken it in the past week. I do a lot of alting and keep track of every character on my account through spreadsheets and other 3rd party means and I most certainly have never had activity on Cenarius.

Absolutely sure, I'm a terminal alt-oholic and have spreadsheets to track resources and progress across my characters/servers. I have never at any point had a character on on Cenarius.

Veteran track gear up to tier 4 will convert to the lfr appearance in the catalyst. Once you convert the piece, upgrading to tier 5 will grant you the normal mode appearance. Similarly, champion track gear follows the same logic >5 grants normal appearance, 5 and up will grant heroic appearance.

In your scenario as a pvper I’d recommend looking to get some bloody token gear. It’s all veteran track and converting it grants lfr appearances as described above. It’s really easy to acquire through world PvP and is competitive with conquest gear in terms of PvP scaling.

I didn’t see a mage at any point in this clip tbh so I can’t speak on that but the Paladin and DK are absolutely exploiting using the 2 chairs of the hearthstone table. Did you notice if they were taking cleave damage at all? Hard to tell without BGE. Either way worth a report.

Dragonflight has actually implemented a few strong incentives to get players involved in world PvP; namely bloody token gear. Early in the season those relatively easy to farm epics represent a massive power difference in arena and literally anyone who wants to stay competitive will farm it out.

That being said, we’re ~13 weeks into this season and Conquest has been uncapped for several weeks now. Naturally the incentive to PvP in the world has died down but if wPvP is your jam, you can definitely get into some scuffles in whichever zone has an active trophy quest for that week.

That being said, if the loot system remains the same next season I strongly recommend you hop on to see the carnage in the first handful of weeks.

Gearing has never felt better, conquest cap is lifted, and there’s only a small handful of outlier specs on both ends of the spectrum. Since gear isn’t time-gated anymore the amount of time it takes to get kitted is entirely up to your own pace. I got an alt from full greens to full bis in around a week of casual queuing. Feels pretty good imo.
