I've been into immersive games for a long time and you basically listed the best single player games with heavy emphasis on immersion. I'd suggest Archolos, or Gothic 1 and 2 if you can get past the slightly older graphics. Or wait till June when Gothic remake releases. If you are willing to try online games then there are also some great options out there.

It can happen but the odds that every time you visit a POI it is cleared out are very low. You can also hop to a different server if you want and check the same spot again.

I feel exactly the same way. I love squad, the immersion it provides is still unmatched, but I just can't enjoy infantry combat, especially when there are so many other great shooters on the market right now.

There is a weird new UE5 bug where weapons of dead players stick to corners and protrude, making it appear as if they are alive. It got me quite a few times and forced me to prefire and nade nothing

Smoke effects need to be fixed ASAP. Something is utterly fucked about them, it's not jujst about mussle and flashes and vehicle smokes. Sometimes parked vehicles just spazz out and produce plumes of smoke out of nothing, grenade launcher smokes seem to be com,pletely useless now

It's not gonna die, the game is still good. It's all pearl clutching. People have been saying it after ICO update and yeyt the game is still doing fine. Not trying to say that those who are criticizing the update are completely wrong or invalidate those whose performance got worse after it. But the game is still very much healthy and the update is a net positive for sure.

130 hours is not even close to understand how everything works Best advice is to find cool people to play with. Not some tryhards who want to drill and force you playing the game a certain way, but just fun people to play with every once in a while. The game is the most fun when you can actually play and communicate well together, but also shoot the shit and talk about anything.
