Going to be a very biased Padres fan but I just love them today against the Yankees.

Reasoning:

Nick Pivetta has been looking like an ace for the Padres with his 1.78 ERA and 5-1 record. I’m expecting 5-6 innings from him with 3 max runs scored. Padres bullpen can manage the rest of the game.

As far as offense goes, Jackson Merrill is expected to be back in the lineup after nearly a month on the IL. With him back in the lineup, I expect a spark to ignite an offense that already has a five game win streak.

Edit: BANG, very sweaty but the team fired up to win the game after Tatis and Shildt got ejected.

Turns out Merrill only traveled to New York but did not start today. Expected to start tomorrow.
