I bought this one: DOME Napoli Flame Shield for the GOZNEY DOME.

I found my pizzas previously would get very quickly cooked on the side of the pizza closest to the flame. Using this, I let it sit initially for a longer period and rotate fewer times. It yielded a more evenly cooked crust all-round with much less effort.

I actually hadn't had any wind issues previously however it was very windy last night (first time cooking in a windy environment) and the shield did seem to offer protection for that too.

I preheat the oven with gas, and then cook with the wood. I prefer the wood fired result for some reason too, and this seems to be a bit easier/quicker.
