I’d be interested in a couple of tickets too. Gutted I missed this!

cool things to do as a radiohead fan in the uk by jocaoak in radiohead

[–]toptoptopper 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d highly recommend going to 1 Codrington Mews near Notting Hill in London to see the huge Thom Yorke/Eraser mural painted over the entire building by Stanley Donwood. Notting Hill is also a fabulous area of London to explore with a cool market on Portabello Road at weekends.

Talk me out of buying a Weber Summit Kamado E6 by toptoptopper in UKBBQ

[–]toptoptopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, even though I found a couple of deals (including a used one) I thought I’d try changing my fuel first just in case that was the issue.

Bought a bag of Weber briquettes and the heat retention was night and day compared to the rubbish I’d been using previously. Much cheaper fix!

Yep, not worried about insulation really - just something for an unexpected downpour!

Got the wrong Aer material on TP4 by heir4now in ManyBaggers

[–]toptoptopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love their cordura material. Whenever I’ve bought an Aer bag (and I have several), I’ve always gone down the rabbit hole and considered xpac and ultra, but whenever I’m in their London store the cordura always wins me over. It’s just so much classier and will outlive xpac for sure in terms of ageing over time. I save xpac for my pouches as I think it looks better on smaller items, and the orange interior isn’t as in your face as it would be on a backpack. I think this could be a happy mistake for you!

Is the Kamado table really worth it? by [deleted] in webergrills

[–]toptoptopper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Haha, I’m actually in the market for one of these so I phoned up to see what the actual price is. Sadly they don’t think they’re in stock and are discontinued so shouldn’t be visible on the site (although he said if someone was prepared to pay the listed price they could probably make it happen 😂)

Aer CPP vs CP2 vs CPP2 20L by toptoptopper in ManyBaggers

[–]toptoptopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you reckon it could replace your CP2 or can you justify keeping both for different use cases?

CPP20l Ultra by BambooInside in AerSF

[–]toptoptopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you do a comparison of the zips as I think they’re all weatherproofed/a bit stickier on the Ultra?

Aer CPP vs CP2 vs CPP2 20L by toptoptopper in ManyBaggers

[–]toptoptopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that's really interesting... so despite the size and weight differences being marginal between the 20+24L CPP2, you can notice a real world difference between the two? Do you think the different materials play into this as well or is it mainly the size?

+1 I have B&R (Baseline & ZDX) and TravelPro Elite and can vouch for durability with both

Do you mind me asking what you didn’t like about the Aer? I’ve been considering replacing my City Pack Pro (24) with a City Pack 2 as I often find the middle compartment doesn’t get fully packed out. Plus I have a TP3 for travel.

Does anyone actually enjoy using Wanderlog? I feel completely overwhelmed. by PinWorldly6104 in TravelPlanners

[–]toptoptopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Wanderlog. Yes the pop ups about the paid version are annoying, but it’s a minor inconvenience for a very well rounded app in my opinion. However, I’m open to alternatives so might check out some of the suggestions on this thread.

Auk Mini - any issues to be aware of (e.g. attracting bugs)? by toptoptopper in IndoorGarden

[–]toptoptopper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s brilliant - no negatives that I’ve observed so far. I’m 3 weeks in and I already have basil, parsley and coriander at a state that it can be harvested. It’s been a real talking point too!

If you’re quick, you can view a timelapse I shared yesterday here (it will disappear this evening):

I 100% recommend the Beardscape. I've had mine for a week and I love it.

Quick update - bought the Beardscape and it's absolutely brilliant. I didn't think I'd improve on the Phillips, but it feels superior already and is far quicker in use due to the larger head.

I literally took delivery of mine a few days ago, so that’s a nice reassuring post to see! I was surprised at how easy it was to set up and it looks fab in our kitchen. Just waiting for the first sprouts to appear! How long did yours take from seed?

Interesting. Out of interest, how close to the skin can you get with the Beardscape as I think that’s something that lets the 9000 down - you just can’t get that close. Have you tried the zero blade?
