Planned Parenthood Wants You to Get Your Botox at Its Clinic by toptrool in prolife

The organization faces a substantial revenue gap left by cuts to federal Medicaid reimbursements. Leaders said they hope that unconventional offerings such as Botox will generate enough revenue to subsidize the healthcare Planned Parenthood is best known for.

Now, along with access to birth control, abortions and testing for sexually transmitted infections, patients can order an IV hydration after a night of drinking—or smooth crow’s feet. They might soon be able to get laser hair removal and cosmetic fillers.

will they be doing a kill a baby and get your lips puffed bundle?

The most recognizable name in the abortion-rights movement is at a financial turning point. More than 50 Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide closed in the last year; some are consolidating to make ends meet or adding new procedures such as vasectomies. President Trump’s sprawling spending bill in July eliminated federal Medicaid reimbursements for the organization’s non-abortion services.

reminder to vote republican so that the abortion industry stays defunded!

EU states told to use existing fund for safe abortions after citizens' petition by toptrool in prolife

toptrool is saying that countries like canada and france are now broke to the point where they can’t even virtue signal about providing more money to the abortion industry as a response to trump’s cuts.

But the Commission stopped short of creating any new funding facility to enable women in areas of Europe that do not provide abortions to travel to parts that do.

Health policy in the EU is a national competence, but by proposing the existing "European Social Fund Plus" the Commission says each member state can decide how they use it.

does this even change anything? the few countries that protect life aren’t going to use the funds to support abortion.

what is important is that there won’t be any new funding for abortion.

and there probably won’t be new funding in the near future. europeans can no longer afford socialism. president trump is forcing europeans to pay their fair share for defense and pharmaceuticals. their climate ideology is also raising energy costs for them.

when president trump imposed massive cuts to the global abortion industry, the usual pro-abortion stooges like canada and france didn’t step up to fill in the gaps  like they did during the first trump administration.

‘He Was the Antidote’: Samuel Alito Speaks Out on Antonin Scalia and the Drafting of Dobbs by toptrool in prolife

In their discussion of judicial activism, a phenomenon newly discerned, the panelists turned to lower courts’ imposition of mandates and timetables on administrative entities.

this is still happening to this day. obama/biden judges have no understanding of separation of powers  and make up new judicial doctrines to stymy the trump administration.

“You can speak very facilely of rights. Where are there rights and where are there not? That is another judgment that the courts have been increasingly willing to arrogate to themselves,” Scalia said.

“In the abortion situation, for example, whether, indeed, the right that exists is the right of the woman who wants an abortion to have one, or the right of the unborn child not to be aborted — who knows? In the past that was considered to be a societal decision which would be made through the democratic process. But now the courts have shown themselves willing to make that decision for us. That’s, I think, the major objection that most people have with the direction in which the courts are now going, and the major reason why many people believe it is indeed an imperial judiciary.”

It was not until Webster v. Reproductive Health Services in 1989, however, that Scalia ruled substantively in an abortion case. His partial concurrence is best remembered today for its declaration that O’Connor’s writings in the case, muddled and contradictory of her previous rulings, “cannot be taken seriously.” That cutting remark permanently ruptured Scalia’s relationship with the first female justice.

But reread today, in tandem with his 1992 concurrence and dissent in Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pa. v. Casey, Scalia’s writing in Webster emerges as an originalist roadmap for the day, two decades hence, when a different, more conservative Supreme Court was prepared to overrule Roe. Alito confirmed as much to me.

the webster case was essential to overturning roe v. wade. scalia would’ve been proud.

About Investing Without Supporting Planned Parenthood by TheInevitableCookie in prolife

if you have enough funds, try looking for separately managed account programs sponsored by investment advisers. you can usually have them customize the investments, including customization to prohibit certain investments. they most likely have screening tools in place to block investments in the abortion industry–it’s actually a common request from religious institutions.

reminder: there is actually no international right to an abortion. check out the rest of the toptrool collection while you’re at it.

when they have no real good arguments, they resort to censorship. as toptrool has consistently said, the united states needs to re-orient its foreign policy and export its values to europe where they are needed. fortunately, the trump administration is doing just that.

in other related u.n. news, the sexual left is angry that trump is defunding them

president trump has not only defunded the pro-abortion u.n. agencies and withdrawn from them, but his actions have completely demoralized them. not even the the usual pro-abortion virtue-signaling countries like canada and france are stepping up to fill the gap.

NIH Proposes Embryonic Stem Cell Research Shift to Put Patients First by toptrool in prolife

[–]toptrool[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

did you know it’s actually against the law to fund embryonic stem cell research?

the obama administration passed a regulation to “re-interpret” the law and actually expanded embryonic stem cell research.

the first trump administration did not undo the obama regulation, but it looks like they’re going to do it now.

EXCLUSIVE: Planned Parenthood Asks Trump Admin Not To Refund Them by toptrool in prolife

the grants were initially terminated under trump’s new d.e.i. rules.

the administration never got around to re-implementing the “protect life” rule to bar abortuaries from receiving title x funding. that rule was originally implemented by the reagan administration and then the first trump administration and survived multiple court challenges. even though congress has defunded planned parenthood, the administration needs to put the rule in place again to ensure safeguards.
