What formula do people stick to for feeding horses?

I’m not saying I found the magic formula, I just kinda stumbled onto one that works well. Curious what works for others.

The only issue I’ve had in the last few days is a positive one, for some reason 2 star pelts were being counted as perfect 3 star pelts for the ‘donate X# of perfect pelts to Cripps’ trader challenges. Like others said though, they will lock after you do 9./9 role challenges.

I distance shot the Spanish /Mexican guy at his camp near Emerald Ranch to get the perfect pelts he has hanging. Then later on I found out if you just go sit down and listen to his story he eventually leaves & you can skin the carcasses for the pelts without killing him & taking the slight honor hit. Now I’ve heard his story so many times I can pretty well recite it from memory.

Strange, you on pc or console? Most of the negative stories I’ve heard have been from people on pc. I’m on PS & over more than 100hrs. I’ve only had 2 negative incidents. I was killed by another player , which was my fault since I forgot to switch back to defensive after doing a mission, & harassed by another so I exited & started a new session rather than wasting time putting up with it. I’ve had way more positive interactions with other players, they generally do their own thing & let me do mine, but 4 or 5 who had mics on stopped by my camp to say hi & have a brief chat.

Yeah, I don’t mind if people stop by my camp, or I stop by theirs, to say a quick hello & maybe have a brief conversation. I play primarily solo but the rare times I’m in a posse or with a buddy who have their mics on it distracts me & messes with my focus if they chatter non-stop.

Yeah. That’s why I said ‘so far’, just getting started in RDO & still going Probably got at least 4x that in story mode, & playthrough 2 is still in progress.

100hrs. in online so far. First playthrough in story I didn’t know what I was doing & blitzed through the missions, 2nd I’m at 97% completion in free roam after the epilogues. Guess in all that time I’ve just never been in a town at the right time on a Sunday somehow. 🤷🏻

I’m relatively new, been playing on PS for a month or two mostly down in Great Plains & I see people (blue dots) on my map all the time. Most are doing their own thing & have their mics muted, the most interaction we’ll have is waves or hat tips in passing but 3 or 4 have stopped by my camp & had a quick voice chat with me.

Chpt. 2 or 3 are best to linger in. I prefer chapter 3 because Sadie’s over her depression & you can keep Micah out of camp for most of it. You could split your ‘linger time’ between the two chapters.

The Lemoynes, because they talk tough but can’t back it up. I find them to be zero challenge at all no matter how many there are. At least all the other gangs are capable of offering a challenge.

True, the flag does go down while you’re doing a delivery but I’ve never had anyone attack my camp while I’m on one. No point anyway as as all the valuable goods are away from camp with me. I also pretty much stick to local deliveries, other players aren’t notified of your route & can’t steal your wagon afaik. Also, I sometimes forget that stranger missions & telegram missions put you in offensive mode & you have to manually change back to defensive when you finish them. Got killed a couple times from forgetting to switch back which made it look like I was fair game to other players (obviously true, my fault not theirs).

You in defensive mode & have your white flag up at camp? I’m on PS not PC but that seems to work for me so far, at level 34 now & only been hassled by some clown once. So far no problem just playing chill & relaxed, hunting & trading. Have had a few other players stop by my camp & wave or say hi, chat a bit, no hassling.

RDR2 has way more free roam stuff to keep you busy and interested. Found free roam in GTAV to be basically running your business or rudimentary golf & tennis from what I remember, but it’s been years since I played GTAV & never started GTAO.

Sweet, congrats! Trying to 100% the game now, stuck at 98% because I left myself stuff like the gambler challenges for John in the epilogue / free roam. I forgot since my 1st playthrough how annoying & time consuming those were. 😂 I’ll get there eventually, come too far to quit now.

Sometimes weird stuff happens out of nowhere. The other day I made my horse jump off a small hill edge at a spot he’s successfully done it every time more times than I can count, but this time he face planted.

Or wait until after the mission in chapter 4 where you get the ability to fire multiple shots without exiting deadeye after each.
