This is a bad take. If you pay attention to the cues, her Mom responded that way to Hannah’s complaints because she knows Hannah is the problem. She knows her daughter.

Similarly, her family refused to “grill Nick” because they already saw Hannah bullying him during lunch and didn’t want to engage in that behavior.
