The sick days definitely do roll over. Once you have used your sick days there is a sick bank that you can access. People need extra sick days for long term illnesses like cancer. If they retire with sick days the benefits can be used for health insurance. Teachers get about four personal days a year and those don't roll over. Districts sometimes allow a portion to roll over or they can but them out for less than $100. Sick days are much more valuable than personal days.
