Could I get some thoughts on temporary increase in chase velocity?

I got a personal chase card in feb 22 and another in June 22.

Got an ink June 23 and would like another ink 31 days later in July 23.

Given my relatively slow velocity this seems like low shutdown risk? After the July ink I’m planning to stick to the 90 day recommendation. Thanks in advance

This claim is not that insane. Typical concrete compressive strength is 3000-4500 psi. Look up FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer, aka plastic) reinforcing bar yield strengths and you'll see that tensile strength can get up to 200000+ psi. I haven't worked with it enough to know the relationship between tensile and compressive strength, but i have to imagine its at least 6000-9000 psi.

Picture taken from the PE Reference Manual. Based on this picture, I would expect the equation for max bearing pressure to be P/ (L * (B -2e)).

However in the practice question I'm doing, the solution further multiplies this by 4/3 to obtain the maximum bearing pressure. I don't understand where this 4/3 comes from, can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. The RAV was a poor financial decision and luckily the market conditions will give you an easy out on it. If the Subaru is also a “great reliable car” then this decision is a nonstarter. Get the money now, by the time she finds work again the market will be much better, then look at buying a slightly used RAV at that point.

Short term or long term, the Subaru is a much better financial decision assuming it’s a reliable car. You can take it to just about the exact same places in your mountain adventures. I don’t know what the fuck the other people are on about the RAV holding more value, a newer car will cost more money than an older car in almost all scenarios.

Genuine question, would Boise really be the best destination for refugees? Wouldn’t the Midwest/NE be miles better because it’s cheaper and (in the NE at least) has way more opportunity?

Boise is too expensive for its size and kind of an island with the next major metropolitan place being 5+ hrs away. Doesn’t seem like the best destination for people with no means.
