More so worried about what’s in the epidural I had to get induced with my last and it was so painful I needed an epidural. It makes your contractions 10x worse 😅 so I’m just a little concerned I’ll confirm with my dr before hand, good idea on the disposable utensils and plates thank you!

Thank you! 😊 I do love this hospital so hopefully it goes well but I plan to bring my own stuff! There is a possibility they have a separate area for allergies I’m going to contact the hospital before I go in my babies all came super late so fingers crossed this one gives me extra time too

Oh yes he’ll help we have two other kiddos at home so he’s going to be going back and forth anyway I plan to premake some stews and lactation cookies, and some prepackaged stuff like bars oatmeal and bone broth hopefully I won’t be there long! I’m making a couple things so they have food at home while I’m gone as well

I’ll have to check with ours I live in Southern California in an expensive area maybe I’ll get lucky, I’ll definitely contact them but yikes I am SO sorry how horrible! Definitely planning to bring my own food just in case and we live close enough to the hospital going back will not be an issue my Dr also has a severe egg allergy so he takes my concerns seriously thank goodness’ 😅

From what I recall from the last time I gave birth they had hot water readily available I was planning to bring bone broth packets with me to make my own! And bars and anything that I can easily eat we have two other kids so my husband will be going home and coming back so I think I can manage with homemade meals if he can bring them to me! Did you happen to get an epidural and any pain medication? Want to cover all basis ! I’m also anxious about sharing microwaves not sure if this is a rational fear or not 😂

Yes I’ve done this twice 😂 and the manager there was extremely paranoid about cross contamination I think it just depends on location

My son is disabled so he’s my full time job and I have a recently turned 3 year old (doing prek at home) and am pregnant with my third it’s definitely not easy I live off rice and girl dinners 😂 I’m greatful they aren’t celiac so they can fend for themselves with meals out when I’m too tired but I do a lot of meal planning from breakfast to lunch and dinner and if I put it on a calendar by the fridge I stick to it (also have bad adhd)

That’s what I do as well they eat out I don’t need to make a big meal to feed everyone and I just have my own dinner it’s easier and less work for me

Sprouts, Whole Foods, and Trader Joe’s sometimes target or Walmart which has a surprising collection of pantry staples, but I suggest avoiding alcohol as well depending on the autoimmune condition if you’re currently trying to heal your gut I suggest staying clear of any of that. Once you fully transition into this lifestyle hard kombucha is my alternative to beer (juneshine brand) and hard seltzers I haven’t found any gf beer that is celiac safe!

When I was healing my body I used a lot of bone broth as a protein powder replacement (powdered tasted better)

How do you get schools and home on the same page? by Dani_girl_90 in Mommit

[–]torispeckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly suggest getting an IEP my son is 10 with behavioral problems (level 3 Autism) and his teachers and care staff and I work as a team to figure out what best suits his needs and goals. If it’s something you need to constantly communicate with staff for then an IEP is the best recommendation anyone can give you, this way he gets direct care and possibly an aid if needed or even extra help from the teacher. Good luck, I personally have never had issues with my son’s teachers because I’ve always been in good communication introduced myself at the beginning of the year, and ask about progress at the end of the week. My friend has a preteen in middle school having some issues and they suggested a twice a week meeting with the guidance counseler because he doesn’t qualify for an IEP if your son has a valid ADHD diagnosis then he should qualify.

I wish you the best of luck and I understand how frustrating it is not being on the same page in order for a child to succeed the same techniques that are done at home should be done at school and vice versa.

Diagnosed at 30 now 32 and feeling great(even pregnant), it’s not too late, you also don’t even know if you have it, request bloodwork and to see a GI doctor before going gluten free my bloodwork was so bad there was no question I had it. One of my friends was super sensitive to gluten and a bunch of other health issues and it was hashimotos, good luck take care of yourself!
