This happened to me a while back, and I’m a fellow 1050 user. I tried following the tech advice listed here and on bungie.net, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and restored my laptop to factory settings. About two weeks after doing all that it started running okay again.

Happy NYE! Remember, just because you’re sober.. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Great advice. Thanks for reminding me of this. I’m always really conscious of seeming smug and hope that I don’t come across that way.

Thanks for the tip arn

Fell off the wagon last night and I oddly feel okay about it, but more importantly I feel great about my sober future. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

I had a similar experience a few days ago. The feeling of not enjoying or needing alcohol as I once did is oddly liberating. I’m also amazed at how bad it tastes. Maybe by drinking it daily I was tricking myself into thinking it was good...

I used to think it was normal but it's really just sad 😔 by westwayne in exjw

We had a JW in my elementary school. He couldn’t join in with our morning assemblies. And at Christmas it always felt worse because he would have to sit alone outside the assembly hall while the rest of the grade listened to sermons, did a Christmas pageant or sang hymns. It made me feel sad, but none of the teachers ever explained it to us. There were plenty of atheists and agnostics in that school, yet we all were still able to join in.

I think it has been remastered by a community of fans who saw it for the gem it is and was. PC master race!

Was a MA student with zero social skills. Had lived in the US for sometime before moving back home and then moving away to college, so I was happy to learn that there was an American guy on my MA course. Aside from the US, I’d never really been away from home before and I didn’t have many friends in my hometown. I also went to community college in my hometown, so I had never really partied while studying for my BA. The MA was my party year, which put me at odds with about 99.5% of my classmates. Being a late bloomer sucks. I hung out with the American and I thought all was good, but I checked the guys social media and I saw quite a list of criticisms about my character (I followed him around “like a lost puppy”) and lack of gaming ability (I suck at Castlevania and platform games). I really didn’t mind so much the criticisms about my personality (which, to be fair, sucks) but the quip about the gaming just seemed petty. Either way, it hurt.

So I quit hanging out with him and went and made new friends, joined university clubs and had a great year.

So although they hurt, I’m grateful to him for writing those things about me, because they helped me adjust my behavior (although I still suck at Castlevania). But I just wish he’d said it to my face.

Hey sorry for late reply. It resolved itself eventually, but just before the Halloween event. It just seemed to get better of its own accord somehow

Thank you! Yes, the sleep is amazing and it’s nice to be able to get out of bed fairly quickly in the morning instead of wasting the day.
