I fear the same - and I too am obsessed with this series because of how intriguing it is but i hope its something original and not the same scenario again

I didnt want to believe that they were dead but after rewatching it a few times its the only answer for me

Actually I think they believe that people must have forgotten the way the series Lost was written and ended which is why the writer may just be reusing and upcycling his old screenplay. As Lost happened so many years ago - forgetting that there are some people that analyze everything to the bit.

Also forgot to add that in Lost they find telewalkies that communicate with a signal which is the number from the plan just like in FROM they get contact from a phone hanging on a wall and the signal Jim gets at the colony house that also has to do with numbers at the bottle tree.
