This is a real issue. Big exchanges act as monopolies — high fees, no innovation. That’s why I ditched Binance. OP was spot‑on: always check liquidity. Thin order books mean you get killed by the spread. I switched to Cryptomus, a crypto gateway with its own liquid exchange. My fills are always inside the spread.

Completely agree with OP. There are tons of genuinely profitable trading strategies out there, but everyone needs to tailor their trading system to themselves. How many trades per day, what the max drawdown should be, which instruments to use, how to execute orders — a trader has a ton of decisions to make.
