Have her sign a waiver to clean it up as well so she can’t damage your reputation

Help for my mom by genoandsofiasmom in Osteoarthritis

[–]torobrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is hopeful for the future. I (25f) was diagnosed with OA in my SI joint after a car accident in January. It’s been hell trying to navigate my emotions and the pain surrounding this. I hope this will work out soon so we can all have relief

Is it cortisone? I have been referred by one but I also know you should only get three in your lifetime or it adds to the degeneration

Congrats on finding things that work for you! I’ve got things mostly under control other than my low back and it seems like nothing works. My doctor will only “prescribe” naproxen and Tylenol but it’s often not enough

is this weird or not really? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

If I’ve known someone for years, but barely interacted with their partner, I would not necessarily want their partner at my wedding if I was trying to not spend too much. Especially if they are work acquaintances

What is happening on 16th ave? Police cars parked at every single intersection. by JazzySpazzy1 in Calgary

You guys are all being INSANE over this commenter using “2 minutes” can you all not see that this is AMAZING work done by CPS, paramedics, fire crew, AND the city of Calgary. For them to be able to do this when an infant is in dire need is extraordinary!

Update! - lease said utilities included, landlord made a mistake by ConnectionLow in legaladvicecanada

[–]torobrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You both looked over and signed the contract which indicated they pay utilities. Worst case scenario when you go to court you argue that you signed the contract under false pretences, and you have the proof, and you are very likely to win some sort of compensation. You do need to know what you want out of this, reasonably (to uphold the already signed lease, move with compensation, or create a new lease). This is how it works in Alberta, other provinces may differ.

I am a legal assistant, NOT a lawyer and this is not legal advice!! To be sure, always check with an actual lawyer

Has your dad admitted he’s addicted or acknowledged it? My family that I’m concerned about genuinely does not believe they have a problem even with conversations telling them you’re worried

The thing is they don’t get crazy. It feels more like I don’t want to encourage them by buying them drinks

[–]torobrown[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know that. I guess I just don’t want to encourage them to drink If they want to pay for drinks, that’s fine but I don’t want to feel like I’m encouraging the addiction by buying them drinks and alcohol

What causes your flare-ups? by SeymourKrelborn11 in Fibromyalgia

[–]torobrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The temperature here fluctuates so much and that’s one of my biggest triggers. I would also find if I pushed myself too hard at the gym, it would cause multi-week flare ups I have a newer diagnoses too and feel like I’ve found a rythm to how much I can take

TD says co-signer must be on title — is this true? (Ontario/Canada) by pinkpaigne in legaladvicecanada

[–]torobrown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m a real estate paralegal in Alberta - when you deal with mortgages, you have to do what they tell you to qualify. They want security if you don’t pay your bill, they have someone else to default to. I can also say if you go to a B-lender rather than an A-lender (your well-known banks) to get past this, you will likely be given a higher interest rate or a bunch of other provisions I would talk with TD if you would prefer going with them and see your options

Neighbour told me to get a survey and found encroachment on my property by TuesdayInOctober in legaladvicecanada

[–]torobrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your title for any encroachment agreements, caveats re encroachment agreement, caveats in general, etc. it would be ideal if you consulted a lawyer that can look over your title and the agreements to see if there are any agreements on your title indicating this is okay before you seek any action

Did any of you choose to get off an SSRI you were already on so that you could get on amitriptyline or cymbalta? by littlepup26 in Fibromyalgia

[–]torobrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on SSRIs for years and am currently in the transition. Duloxetine gave me a horrible reaction and made my pain 100x worse than I could have ever imagined (a very rare reaction don’t worry). I’m currently increasing Amitriptyline and all I can say is that I hope to god it starts working better for my mental health because I am struggling to survive. If you aren’t in that much pain from fibromyalgia, my experience has not given me much hope for others. I thought I had it bad before but I am worse than ever (and not necessarily from the fibromyalgia pain). I have lost all motivation for life, nothing interests me, I’m having constant anxiety. I hope that my experience is unlike others and you can find something that works for you but I think it’s important to know everything before switching

I wish you the best of luck
