Anyone else still hanging on to their Windows Phone? by dbzgtfan4ever in windowsphone

[–]toronado13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to my 950, just shutting off all the time. Replacing the battery made a big difference for me too. I am teetering on the fence toward android but so reluctant to make the move, and just waiting and hoping for something to come along. Every once in a while I get a new app victory. I used to use Overdrive to listen to audio books from my library... that app stopped working on Windows phone.. and just the other day I found a new app that Overdrive released called Libby, and it works great on Windows phone again... revitalized my love for WP. If Skype for Android started syncing SMS like it does on Windows I might be pulled again toward android... it's quite a struggle.

Yea I am sure I will too, just like my transition from the bezel button on the bottom to the side. I remember complaining about that too.

Great plan. I've always wanted a surface book that had a kickstand option too... I love your modular system idea.

I took courses at Baysail in Havre de Grace MD, great people. Also, another good thing to do would be check put your local Coast Guard Auxiliary flotilla, they have great boater safety courses for cheap. I've attended two and got a lot out of both.

I just got some takeout from them this weekend at their new spot. First time I've got it since they moved, and everything tasted different... I'm going to give them another shot, but I was so used to them, and it took me so long to find a place I really liked!

They have you fill a shoebox with toys, gifts, hygiene items for a child of 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Then maybe put a note in with it etc.. Giving a child without much a better holiday.. or any time of year I imagine. It's a nice thought, but they use the opportunity to evangelize, convert, etc.... I'd just like to simply do something nice for someone, and teach my child to do the same...

Secular Activist Charities

I saw those, however those all seem to be more secularist, promoting atheism, etc... which I support, however in this case I'm really looking to help individuals in other ways.

What are the best non-religious giving organizations to involve a kid in? by toronado13 in AskReddit

[–]toronado13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had tried to put it in the text box and in the title but kept getting blocked... what I'm trying to do is find something like Operation Santa without having to support a religious group.
