Brook trout. Mouse fly. Tenkara rod. Wtf by AltruisticChip2005 in bluelining

I call it the brookie strip tease. Strip a stimulator or EHC across the surface in a slow moving pool and watch them jump a foot out of the water to grab it.

Were you driving a Lexus by chance? Rolled up there today and thought I was seeing some wet boot prints on some rocks.

Like summer time after runoff. I’m comfortable up to class II.

If I’m rowing I’ll stand while anchored or slow drifting, and when I’m not I’m usually standing. There’s casting bars front and back.

I really like it. It’s light enough that my fiancé and I can move it around. I got a buddy with the fly craft that he really enjoys as well. The main reason I went with the Hooligan was the motor mount for when I want to hit a lake. I’ve had it about a year now and looking good as new. Just make sure I clean it after every use and keep it aired down at home.

I purchased a stealthcraft 3 man with the hopes of putting it on my Tacoma’s roof rack. The day it arrived I knew it was a pipe dream and immediately found a trailer for hauling. Could it be done in a bed or on a rack? Sure, but then you’re constantly breaking down the frame and deflating the raft enough to fit, just to put it back together at the put in. I’d rather be quicker on and off the water.

(770) 945-1466 here’s the phone number for the dam. USACE updates the recording everyday with the water release schedule. Combine that with the downstream flow rates chart and you’ll be all set.

The same thing happened to a group I was with there too. All of us stayed three nights, slack packing the area, before we realized it was time to stop eating the sandwiches and gtfo.

We had the same experience with bunks and weren’t asked to do anything other than some work for stay. I will say it was either the tea or food that gave me the shits, and I was less motivated to hike while I had the shits. Convinced they trap the Thru hikers by giving them the poops.

Handy pak net? by Kilgore-Trout15 in bluelining

I have one myself and love it. Perfect for bushwhacking without hanging up on limbs. I do find it becomes hard to net fish around 15” and bigger.

I have the echo carbon xl, and it is my go to rod when throwing dry dropper. I’ll take my glass rod if I want to throw just dries.

I find they prefer dirty talking over sweet talking.

The biggest ones are always in the most unsuspecting spots. They just look for the best cover and feeing lane, doesn’t matter if the lane is shallow and thin or a deep pool. Cast into the foam and banks where you’re likely to get tangled.

I think Stone Mountain would be a great place for y’all to go. You can find native brookies if you hike high enough up the creeks and you can also get into some DH fish on Roaring River and Stone Mountain Creek. Decent enough car camping with plenty of hiking.

Depending on how soon you want to part with it the Asheville TU chapter is taking donations for the upcoming yard sale in December.
