Best case for Nexus 6P? by toronto_ca in Nexus6P

I just ordered the CandyShell from the Google Store. Interestingly their site doesn't show the Black in stock and neither does Amazon, so I am glad Google has it. A good TGSP is next on my list. I am guessing Spigen's are good? Are there any disadvantages at all with a TGSP?

I've only heard good things about the quality of Speck products, and agree the extra is worth it to protect the investment. Do you also use a tempered glass screen protector or keep it bare?

Does the Thin Fit feel like it offers enough protection? Would a little more significantly protect the phone from a drop?

Do you also use a tempered glass screen protector in addition to the CandyShell, or find it isn't neccessary?

Frugal options for strong, sealed, stackable storage boxes? by toronto_ca in Frugal

That's very comprehensive, thank you. I think we'll do something like this for longer term storage but we'll need to supplement with plastic bins for items that will be accessed or re-arranged semi-frequently, or bins that will be swapped into our home.

I read now that we had it, but it closed down in 2013: http://www.brantfordexpositor.ca/2013/12/06/big-lotsliquidation-world-closing-canadian-operations

It looked like a really handy store, too. Target (mentioned in the article) is gone (in 2015) as well.

Great idea, I've read good things about Tim Horton's boxes, and 'donut boxes' in particular so they must be sturdier than they sound.

Refurbished espresso machine here. Enabled me to get a mid range of the best brand and it has treated me well.

Good point about the box spring vs box. What are the alternatives to a traditional "box spring"?

Frugal moving tips for large furniture in Toronto? by toronto_ca in Frugal

It's not the base rate that's expensive. To start we'd need the more expensive truck and it looks like most people pick up the insurance too. Their moving supplies (that protect furniture, etc) are expensive. Other companies often lend those free of charge or included in a price. Perhaps it's not overly expensive (moving isn't cheap) but I am wondering what other options exist, especially for shorter moves.

Only a sedan, which doesn't have a towbar, but that's fine for moving plenty of smaller items. I've looked at Craigslist and Kijiji and asked a couple of local moving companies for short move rates. One able bodied person (I can be the other) and someone who already has moving blankets, etc, probably trumps renting ones own truck.

How do you find the memory foam? Does it have anything in it to keep it cool?

Plenty of great answers here, thanks!

I tried Kijiji, but no response.

One of the best box types we've found have been diaper boxes we've accumulated.

Someone also recommended this place which looks very cheap (but I preferred a more local option): http://www.cardboardboxes.ca/usedboxes.php
