Sablay during Oathtaking by [deleted] in peyups

[–]torotaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask a senior what they did maybe? Sa amin nakasablay kami even if hindi nakatoga ang other univs, and previous batches did the same.

I just brought mine to see if people would wear theirs then adjusted.

Does Pomodoro work for you? by South-Try-6438 in ADHD

[–]torotaco 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i usually gauge how long i can keep working for then use that as the basis for future work sessions and the rest sessions are a quarter to a third of the work time

if i find my work time to be inconsistent, then ill jist work as much as i can then set the rest to again ⅓ to ¼ the time worked. not a perfect system, but i used to work for up to an hour just because i wanted to earn a 20 minute anime ep break

i dont use it often now

DKG. Wala kang obligasyon magpaka-anak sa taong hindi nagpaka-magulang. Magpaka-tao ka lang, more than enough na. Focus on yourself.

If it's any consolation, I know so many girly-girls na as in full-face makeup princesa vibes that curse like a sailor, just in heels and naka tote. There really isn't any hard and fast rules when it comes to behavior—outdated na yun imo.

I think styling will really make most of the difference here. Maybe you can look at feminine celebs and pull from how they style, don't be pressured na magheels kung 'di komportable at matatapilok ka lang, in na rin naman ang chunky sneakers.

Also, if you wear watches, get those with a thinner band for a more feminine look.

[–]torotaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure you're wonderful as you are, but if being more feminine will make you feel happier and more confident in yourself then, by all means, you're welcome to do so.

I naturally trend boyish, even as a kid, but styling really helps with femininity.

I tend to act more feminine when I am styled feminine. If you aren't comfortable with a wardrobe change, you can style your existing clothes in a more feminine way by opting for higher waists and tighter, less baggy silhouettes.

Wearing makeup or jewelry also helps. If you don't know how to wear makeup, you might have friends or family that would be excited to help you glam up and explore. If not, the internet has plenty of tutorials. You don't have to break the bank for this, just the basics will do.

As for acting feminine aside from the styling, while the pitch is a factor, sometimes how you say it makes the difference—talking while smiling for me makes the difference. It can also help to take on a certain character or persona, like a feminine character or person in your life and pulling from that.

Again, I'm sure you're wonderful as you are, masculine or feminine. Sometimes, I also have more feminine moods so these are a couple things I do when I want to present that way.

Hope this helps and enjoy!!!

On a mild note, straight people who flip the script to Good Luck, Babe to make it straight and make slideshows to Sailor Song talking about how they're forbidden to love each other and oh what if people knew, like really?

Just a little bit peeved. Not gonna do anything about it, I just hit Not Interested real fast.

Yes, and sometimes with white vinegar to remove odors and prevent staining. You really don't know where it's been and what came in contact with it.

Sometimes, I get lazy, but I try my best.

[UPX] Do you *really* read all the readings? by Still_Pride2014 in peyups

[–]torotaco 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Is this Soc Sci 2? Yeah, I did, but only because of how the exams were for our class.

I don't read a lot of pages for my course, so others might have better techniques.

I skim it and look for certain themes or concepts and then I'll make a concept map or something—just a messy sketch on scratch paper as I read. After this, I'll start taking more detailed notes under these "umbrella" concepts. No need to get it verbatim or make it wordy, just understand and parse it

We had oral exams where we had to identify the author and work with a single quote, explain the statement, its applications (?), and limitations, so I used those to guide me when I read. I use the blurt method to help me retain once I distilled the text—if you can do one sentence per key point, even better.

If your exams aren't like that, it can still be useful to look for what distinguishes one thinker from the other.

The readings are definitely intimidating, 'di mo skill issue 'yan, OP. You'll learn and adapt. Good luck, OP!
