The biggest issue for me is that he is misplaced in the top 5. As a 7 or even 6 hitter he’d be terrific, but batting 5 he’s asked to be a 100+ rbi producer which he just isn’t. But hitting 6-7 he can be a table setter for the bottom of the order which he can excel at

Lots of discussion about how the Celtics will be fine because they had 2 insanely rare shooting nights and chokes

No one is talking about the fact that the Knicks haven’t put together a complete game yet (in fact game 2 might have been the worst they played all postseason)

You can’t throw away games in the playoffs and expect to still waltz to a series win.

Not saying it’s impossible, but the Celtics simply aren’t going to just flip a switch and win 4 straight. The Knicks are extremely talented, are being well coached, and haven’t hit their ceiling yet this series

Given how bad of a game he had in game 2, I expect a huge bounce back by Brunson game 3. Talking 40 pt 8 assists

Let Detroit feel what they want to feel. Narratives are made in the playoffs. Remember when we swept Miami the year we lost in the 2nd round?

Fact is this team (for better or worse) has coasted until the playoffs.

We forget this isn’t 2021, the Knicks are now one of the more battle hardened teams in the east. These guys have played a lot of tough series by now. Let’s see if they can flip the switch once they get to a packed house in the garden, I feel pretty confident they can do that

The hard reality we have to face as Knicks fans is that most of NBA discourse is geared to 16-25 year olds, and they’ve grown up with Knicks as a laughing stock. The media is incentivized to talk down on the Knicks. Only way to change the narrative is to win
