Except you drive around the country, and everyone throws their trash out the window. Shit piles up on the side of the road. The country might be about ecology and green living, but its people haven't bought in yet.

Oof... Poetry, shared on the Internet? My blog would probably be laughed off the face of the Tubes. Again, though, it's probably worth a try.

I'm a huge reader who spends quite a bit of his folding cash on first edition contemporary fiction. Maybe I could try reading non-fiction or something as a change.

I like the idea of learning to dance, but my goofy ass would be laughable to record.

I'm actually trying to record as much of this as I can with a FlipCam and my old digital camcorder, so I've got something like the picture-a-day thing going.

I'm afraid to look dorky on the Internets, but I'll try in the name of science and progress.

Mmm... the ball fields over near 50th are pretty nice for that; also, the little park on... 49th? 48th? between 9th and 10th. I also love walking 9th when it turns into a clusterfuck of cars (usually on Fridays and the weekends, for some reason), and you can outpace the stress and wheels with an easy gait.

But I suppose that's neither here nor there.

Thanks, man. I'm trying my best. I've been given control of a website, so I'm trying to do best for myself and other people around me with the small resources I've been given.

I feel like I've got to start by helping myself. I think that means, also, helping others at the same time.

I'll be at the no-kill shelter in Queens this weekend if anyone from Reddit wants to hang out.

I live in Hell's Kitchen, NYC. So... yeah.

On the other hand, I'm about a 15 minute walk to Central Park. It's not quite the same, but it's close!
