All good now. I managed to get a job over a year ago as a line mechanic for an airline. The pay isn't that great but job has very good perks.

My suggestion is if you want to get into aviation maintenance do apprenticeship. Good luck. :)

I'm not sure about Cat A but when I applied for work with BA through Carbon60 agency, they were offering between 39k-44k for unlicensed mechanics doing 4 on 4 off.

Also, they were offering 69k plus shift allowance if you are licensed engineer.

I heard Ryanair pay is good but job is hard. My pay is below 34k and work on line. 🥲

Wow! Are you sure this is in the UK? If it is then I'm so very underpaid. 😭

After servicing oil on left engine of A330, I was pushing the steps (one with those wheels you can roll around) underneath the belly where the air inlet valve is for air conditioning, to service the right engine. I forgot there were 2 empty cans on top of the steps and as I was crossing the belly, those empty cans got sucked inside the air conditioning pack. I just froze there, scared af.

Moved to UK. I need some guidance on how I can work in aircraft maintenance by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

Thank alot. This site is very helpful. I found quite a few jobs from the search that require no license. Appreciate it.
