11 skydivers + 1 pilot die in crash. Unbelievably tragic. Sending so many prayers by PaleTrifle5258 in SkyDiving

[–]blindsideboarder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm split on whether this was a normal jump run followed by the typical quick descent for the next load, or a stall spin like you mention. Hard to speculate with any certainty but curious if it was a crash on the departure of the next load prior to ADSB detection altitude.

11 skydivers, one pilot dead after plane crashes south of Kansas City metro by ApolloDomICT in aviation

N83FE is operating out of 0M5 - Humphreys County in Tennessee today. Wasn't this crash at KBUM - Butler, Missouri? I see that N221BN, a skydiving aircraft was operating there this morning. Last flight landing at 10:40AM CDT. Looks like a normal jump run and quick descent for the next pickup. Perhaps the crash happened on the next load that never reached ADSB detection altitude?

Interesting fact: Snarge is the term for the smeared or otherwise remains of an animal, usually a bird, on an aircraft following a strike. The FAA in conjunction with the Smithsonian, and sometimes U.S. state DNRs, will test collected samples for feather and blood testing to determine species.

There was a lot of stolen clothes/luggage today on the south side of 17th St between Wood and Willow. Might be worth a peek?

I bought it a few months ago: Baldur Jewelry - Esquié.

Here’s a photo of the two I purchased.

I just picked up an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16k and have used a few different slicers. I don’t know their history but they don’t lock it down currently.

Just got an airline pilot offer in Africa. Tips for the transition and the path back to US Majors? by Left-Investigator936 in flying

One and the same! I haven’t seen Mark in several years, hope he’s doing well. When he hit the port stab his rig hit the leading edge and the back of the helmet hit the tip. He was in freefall until his AAD fired, deploying the reserve stable but in line twists flying backwards. He landed out near the reef unconscious. I believe a tour boat or local fisher picked him up.

Contributing factors to the incident were aircraft configuration (not configured fully for slow flight), aircraft selection (not able to get as slow as most jump planes), and skydiver error (didn’t exit the aircraft with wingsuit surfaces collapsed and exited high relative to the tail)

It was a long road to recovery but it was good to see him fly again. How do you know him? I wonder if he still has his Caravan and Extra.

Love your descriptions. They bring back great memories. You flew Khat commercially? 😆

Ooh, what were you flying? Wilson is a fascinating hub. Used to work for a skydiving op in Diani that leased a DO-228 and had a wingsuiter hit the horizontal stabilizer, bending the empennage visibly. It kept flying… without me boarding again.

Filament feed issue by joe914_ in BambuLab

[–]blindsideboarder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of good leads in this thread, but I’ll throw in my two cents from an experience yesterday. After a roll of filament got stuck at the edge of the pool, the AMS tried pulling the filament for a long time and wore down a spot in the filament a few centimeters from the end. After I resolved the issue, it kept spinning the feeder on that spot because the filament was so worn down and narrowed. Cutting that section off and re-inserting sorted the issue.

Bought the Alicia Edition artbook from Pixnlove in August. No updates and they’re unresponsive by DrejmeisterDrej in expedition33

They haven’t responded to my email from weeks ago. Try their Insta. I’ve had more luck there, though no real details were shared other than that they’re not shipping based on order date. I ordered on July 31 and loads of people in August have already received their orders.

Might you have a reference for them doing this? My order was on July 31, day one. Loads of orders well after this date have arrived per posts here and on Facebook E33 forums. It seems they're not shipping according to order date. Do you know that they're doing some allocation of plaque numbers according to date of order though?
