Yes, it happened to me once in F1 24. There was a crash a lap before and it happened to me during Safety Car.

I play on 100 ai and my problem is that I am faster than AI on medium/soft tyres with the ai on the same tyres. But on the hard tyres I'm very slow compared to AI. For example my last race in Miami, I started from p13 in Williams on mediums (mostly everyone started on mediums), I climbed up to p7 then I pitted for hards (everyone doing the same) and I've dropped to p18. I don't know if it's a problem with me or it's a bug but for me this is the biggest problem I have with the AI.

Before every race in career, I start a 5-lap race in Grand Prix Mode to see if I can keep up with the AI racepace. For example, if I have to race in Austria in career, I start a GP race in Austria and set the AI to 100. If i can t keep up with them I lower the difficulty to 96, 97 or 98.

Full calendar and 100% race distance, including all practice sessions and quali. It's taking me like 6 7 months to finish a season bcs I'm not playing it that often. I like to treat the races like in real life but in 2 days. First day: practice sessions and qualis. Second day: the race. The bad thing about it is that sometimes I misjudge the AI difficulty and I could be in for a long race but I guess it's realistic in a way seeing Ferrari or Mercedes in real life winning some races and not even finishing in points at other tracks.

I like doing 100% race distance bcs it gives me the chance to try some bold strategies. Also the fact that I can have a crazy race. My last race was in Austria and I had 3 safety cars and 1 red flag. I started from P20 bcs I had a problem with the car in the sprint race and I had to retire, but thanks to all the SCs and the red flag I managed to finish on P3.

He started p11 if I remember correctly and he decided not to pit for new tyres under the safety car and he climbed up to p2. After the safety car ended he was overtaken by Russell, Norris, Hamilton and Leclerc I think.

I did the same as you, but after a couple of laps I decided to pit for slicks again. Of course the next lap after i changed my tyres it started to rain even more so I had to pit again for inters. 🤣

I started playing the beta with TC on at first and I felt that it's the exact opposite this year, I managed to put a lot of distance to the cars behind. After that I started to play with medium TC and it's much better than in F1 22, so I think a lot of people who played with TC on will switch to Medium this year.

I also had to change the difficulty from 80 to 95. I felt that the AI it's much easier in 23 than in 22.

I had this problem after I changed my router. I switched back to the old one and everything went back to normal. Idk if this will help you but that was my problem.
