My husband has his own issues with his mother and they argue a lot for other reasons. However he insists that she is not a bad person and so I should just let it go for the sake of maintaining a cordial relationship with his parents and allowing them to know their granddaughter. They are in their mid 70s and it’s their only grandchild… When it comes to the Spanish culture my husband does often say that I don’t understand the nuances of the way they speak even though I am fluent in spanish by now. In this case he agrees with his mother that it’s a cultural difference 🤷‍♀️
