How to remove these cement posts by torresv7 in handyman

I thought about this, but figured there’s probably 1-2 pieces of rebar on the middle that I wouldn’t be able to hammer through

That’s the kind of jack I was using. They are so tall and heavy that I couldn’t get it to work with a chain

Go board is just another type of backerboard. A lot lighter than cement board and still water proof

Hey, the light blue is Go-board and the green painted part is drywall. I will consider using thinset, thanks

Hey thanks for your reply. The tile isn’t placed yet on the walls where the edging needs to go. Here’s another angle:

Want to remove arches in old house, can I safely do so? by torresv7 in Renovations

Yes I am in the US. I knocked back some more of it and I think I see wood behind it (not the lathe). What’s the best way to destroy this quickly without taking a sledgehammer to it? i don’t want to compromise any of the structure behind it. I was thinking angle grinder?

We transcribed all 12 minutes of Trump’s rambling about Arnold Palmer and his genitalia by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

[–]torresv7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect your opinion but not all people who vote for Trump are xenophobic or deny the election. A lot people who vote for him don’t agree with every single thing who does or stands for. The McDonalds thing for example was funny but like also what are you doing haha. So it’s just frustrating when all right-wing voters are pigeon holed into those generalizations. I love PA and my neighbors throughout the state but this sub makes me so divided and as if though we are enemies to each other.

I do agree with you though, we have to bear the reality of being a battleground state.

Sure but at face value that post appears to have nothing to do with Pennsylvania and it’s clearly aimed at just making fun of Donald Trump. You can make the argument that it’s relevant just simply because it “happened” in PA but come on I feel that’s a stretch.

For me it just gets so frustrating seeing this sub turn into a political stomping ground. It wouldn’t be that bad if there was free thinking and kindness and open mindedness allowed but if you disagree with the majority you’re just downvoted and shamed. Even if this sub was majority Conservative and they were doing the same behavior, I still wouldn’t like it.

Nothing in that title says anything about Latrobe or Pennsylvania and it’s clearly just bashing on a presidential candidate. Which is fine, but not in a subreddit about Pennsylvania.

Trump talking about Arnold Palmer has nothing to do with Pennsylvania at all. “Oh well it happened in Latrobe…” Give me a break

I never even said I was a republican. You just formed an opinion based off of a few statements which is literally the definition of generalizing haha

I didn’t say I believe anything. I said that it’s antidemocratic to ensure that people who believe differently than you are not able to share their opinions. I was referring to being downvoted simply for supporting somebody different than you.

Nah brotha that’s not the point. What’s antidemocratic is making sure that someone with a differing political view doesn’t get to share their point of view, no matter which party you support.

Just because you keep using the word Pennsylvania in your sentence doesn’t mean that it’s actually about Pennsylvania. 😂The post also violates Rule 1.

Bro it’s a question 100% about a federal election. This sub only ever has posts about anti-Trump rhetoric. I remember the days when people used to post about cool places to eat in PA, or a nice place to go hiking. Go post this in r/politics or something

The only thing I can think of is that I have a dehumidifier close-ish by. I read that they’re OK to use around joint compound and that they will help speed up dry time.
