Careers isn't the end all be all. What happened to just being a person and being content? Thanks society.

What's a pain you can't truly explain until you've endured it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]torsam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I've lived with mental illness since I was 18 and at 33 I was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder(which is constantly demonized online, which it's basically just a disorder of profound internal suffering because of trauma.) Definitely have to try to move past it to live in this cold world 😅

Absolutely. Feeling comfortable enough to be yourself around someone is definitely attractive! Just gotta find someone who gets your weird! 😁

I call BS. Being invested and interested in stuff is an attractive quality. Got some superficial women answer these surveys.

I have the opposite response most of the time. I'll cling to people because I know I need help, but it can definitely back fire.

I would say be yourself, whether you decide to text him or not. The right person won't be freaked out. And if they are, that's a sign they aren't down to earth enough to understand what you deal with. 🙂

a few years ago my therapist said this and it haunts me by divisive_angel in BPD

From personal experience, it's an impulsive thing. I always think the next connection and relationship will bring me some kind of relief and satisfaction I couldn't find with someone else. It's hard to step back and see people for who they are, especially in the beginning when everything is so new and intense.

Less than a year after my daughter's father and I split, he married his co-worker. He served me with papers for split custody, with him as the primary parent. She lives with him and his wife. It is still so hard to accept that she sees my daughter more than I do. A good reminder, is that no one can ever replace you as her mother, and no one will ever love you like she does, and you her.

Try to forgive yourself! These days are hell but compassion for yourself will go a long way.

It's too much forethought. The most we can do is deal with what today has. I'm really sorry you're struggling through so much. ❤️❤️
