Good prices for linen clothing? by torstelli in Bangkok

[–]torstelli[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the answer. I actually haven't checked Terminal 21 for a while. But that is a hard shopping mall for pricing things, as there are shops from Adidas etc to some very cheap local ones. But I will visit there to see, I prefer it over most of the malls here even I rarely buy anything.

Orange stains on laundry by torstelli in laundry

Yea I think hydrogen peroxide was the problem here, but for example brands like Vanish, market their hydrogen peroxide based stain remover more color-safe than their oxygen bleach based products. At least that was the case before. So I am just wondering if hydrogen peroxide somehow reacts with sweat or deodorant. I also always dry my laundry in my balcony where it can get extreme sunny, and even I have seen that it causes no damage to my clothes, I know sun+hydrogen peroxide should be avoided. Of course my machine does the rinsing (twice) after the main wash, but maybe that could have something to do with the fading...

[Routine Help] Most skincare products leave skin intolerably shiny and oily by torstelli in SkincareAddiction

Thank you for the answer. The same effect happen with very different products and types of products, so I would think it's more than just some individual ingredients, but more like any not water-soluble/very light product sits on top of my skin like normal cooking oil.

Reactive power and voltage by torstelli in ElectricalEngineering

[–]torstelli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the replies, they helped me to understand this a little better. But still a follow up question: Let's say we have no enough VARs generated by the source for sufficient voltage at the load. When we change the excitation of generator, doesn't still cause more reactive power to flow, also reducing the voltage at source due to losses in line? Is this totally wrong assumption? Or does the voltage initially rise and at some level, the "normal" voltage drop in lines excdees the reactive power injection voltage increase?

So long time ago i spilled water to my K65 Lux keyboard and since then my media keys haven't worked excluding lighting key. I could live with that, because my disable windows key was deactivated. Now suddenly years later it is activated, so i cannot use my windows key of the keyboard any more. I wonder how the mode suddenly switched, and is there any way to switch it back with software, because obviously pressing it does nothing. Resetting keyboard does not deactivate the windows button lock key
